Pop babe Britney Spears has lashed out at reports she bought her father a Los Angeles restaurant -- insisting dad Jamie paid for it with his own money.
After spending the summer in rehabilitation for alcohol abuse, Jamie is starting a new life in California after divorcing his wife, Lynne, and moving from his native Louisiana.
Earlier this month, Jamie bought JJ Chill, a smoothie and chili restaurant in Venice Beach, and is delighted Britney and her new husband, Kevin Federline, are regular customers.
Hopefully Jamie will have better luck with his eatery than his famous daughter. Britney's New York restaurant Nyla went bust in November 2002, only five months after opening.

A source tells The New York Post that Britney Spears is upset with her father Jamie for "trading off of her name to make his yogurt smoothie shop in Malibu a success." Jamie started the smoothie shop several months ago and reportedly promised his investors his famous daughter would stop by three times a week to help promote the shop. Britney is so upset about the situation, she "did not want to see her father at Thanksgiving."
Britney's rep denied the feud insisting, "Everything is fine with Britney and Jamie."

This is silly. Britney has been going tp her Dad's restaurant a lot over the holidays since she got back from her honeymoon, but she goes to McDonalds and Blockbuster Video a lot too. That doesn't mean she has any contract with Mikky-D's or BBuster. She just goes where she wants. | | Reply To this Message

Kevin Federline was videotaped taking his new Christmas present from wife Britney Spears, a $30,000 custom motorcycle, for a spin in Malibu. Later, Kevin joined Britney to visit her father Jamie's smoothie shop JJ Chill in Venice Beach.

BRITNEY SPEARS landed her dad JAMIE an OSCARS catering contract much to the delight of Best Actor winner JAMIE FOXX.
The TOXIC beauty went out of her way to give her father's fledgling catering business a helping hand by securing the contract to serve food at PEOPLE magazine's after-show party.
Foxx, KERRY WASHINGTON, WYCLEF JEAN, PAULA ABDUL and KYLE MacLACHLAN were impressed by Jamie's selection of fried chicken and macaroni and cheese.
Jamie set up his Californian business after divorcing Britney's mother LYNNE and beating his alcoholism.

Britney on the way to the shoot stopped off at a nic nac store and looked delighted with a small statue of a angel although she was looking no angel herself in a red tracksuit with a marihuana leaf on it and a dirty old pair of tracksuit bottoms with scuffed up running shoes. After asking wether her credit was good in the store or not she grabbed the little angel and left for her shoot.
Jamie Spears was waiting for his daughter and escorted her inside for the shoot, he then showed off his new Christmas present from his daughter a $65,000 white utility Cadillac Escalade SUV in the carpark to Britneys bodyguard and the media. Earlier on into the day it was noticed that somebody obviously not a fan of Britney's had left a message on the back window of her black Cadillac Escalade that said \" Ass Eater \"

At dad's restaurant, JJ Chill, Spears helps herself to a strawberry-banana smoothie with whipped cream. "She said she wants to work here twice a week during the summer," says Jamie's business partner Joseph Nejman. "She wanted to design her own waitressing uniform. She seemed more excited about what she was going to wear than learning about making the smoothies!"
