Fans of busty Anna Nicole Smith were left scratching their heads after the model's rambling Kanye West introduction at the American Music Awards on Sunday night.

Smith, who arrived at the show 10 minutes after it had started, appeared drunk onstage, and her short speech, which began as she slurred, "Like my body?" was cut short when producers feared she would do something shameful.

But she insists her current state of mind has been swayed by her recent weight loss and constant taunts about being stupid.

She explains, "I liked me better bigger because now I'm too bony.

"I'm just portrayed as some bimbo, and never taken seriously."

Smith then staggered around backstage, and had to be helped to stand up by two bodyguards.

What's Up With Anna Nicole Smith?

Anna Nicole Smith is raising eyebrows again with her latest outrageous behavior. The Early Show got the scoop from Kevin Frazier of "Entertainment Tonight," whose complete report will be broadcast today on that program.

At the American Music Awards Sunday night, Anna Nicole Smith got plenty of people talking when she introduced a musical performance by Kanye West, behaving bizarrely and slurring her speech.

Frazier told The Early Show co-anchor Rene Syler: "When I interviewed Anna Nicole, she was in rare form, talking about her life-and-death battle with prescription drugs; a battle she says is behind her."

Anna Nicole Smith told Frazier, "I actually went into a coma, you know. I almost died. And I had to learn how to walk again and all this and that."

Frazier reports that even before she took the stage Sunday, Smith was openly sharing her personal struggle with painkillers, an addiction that led to a difficult rehab.

How tough was that for her?

"Horrible, horrible, horrible," she said, "because I couldn't walk. I had to rehabilitate myself. And then they took the nurse away, so there I was crawling -- crawling to the bathroom and stuff."

She says her addiction began during the contentious legal battle over the estate of her husband, J. Howard Marshall. She believes painkillers only added to her depression. But her withdrawal led to severe panic attacks and even seizures.

"You just, like, leave your body," she replied. "It's, like, unexplainable. It's like -- like one time I went to the park, my friend took me to the park, and I thought I was walking on stilts."

As the face and the body of the Trim Spa diet plan, Smith has dropped nearly 70 pounds. Is there any concern with taking the diet pills, as it relates to her health?

"No, no," said the model. "I do take two pills a day, to maintain."

But as she called attention to her body at the awards show, many wondered what exactly was on her mind.

Co-anchor Syler posed the following question to Frazier: "You saw her before, during, and after the awards ceremony. What was your impression? Did you feel like she was lucid in that interview? And then, how do you explain her behavior on stage?"

Frazier's reply: "I'll be honest with you. Something is going on. But, at the same time, I wonder… Is she crazy like a fox? Because is there any better self-promotion?

"But there is definitely something wrong with Anna," he continued. "We talked about several subjects during our interview... I'll be honest with you: There were points where it made me a little nervous and uncomfortable."

The complete interview is being broadcast tonight (Nov. 16) on "Entertainment Tonight."

Busty blond Anna Nicole Smith has blamed her slurred speech at Sunday's American Music Awards on her "bad eyes" -- not alcohol, as has been suggested.

The former Playboy model, 36, prompted speculation she was intoxicated at the star-studded ceremony when she took to the stage to introduce Kanye West.

While gossip circulates about the slimmed-down Texan, her lawyer, Howard K. Stern, blames faulty technology and near-sightedness for the seemingly erratic behavior.

He explains, "She couldn't really read the teleprompter because she has bad eyes. She flubbed a line, but she's fine. Anna did numerous other interviews afterwards where it's obvious that she's fine."

She had arrived at the ceremony 10 minutes late and then appeared drunk on stage as she introduced rapper Kanye West's act. Producers panicked when she began her babbling speech with words like "Like my body?".

After being led away from the podium she staggered around backstage, and had to be helped by bodyguards. The reality TV star then fell onto the gift table with a maniacal grin on her face and had to be lifted up by an unknown man.

Anna Nicole's AMA Performance Makes it Into Commerical

Part of Anna Nicole Smith's bizarre speech at the American Music Awards (AMA) has now made its way onto a new TV commercial she's shot for diet pill company TrimSpa.

The curvaceous Texan ignited a flurry of questions about her well-being, when she slurred and stumbled her way through an introduction for rapper Kanye West at the star-studded ceremony on November 14.

But now Smith is benefiting from her speech, because her opening line - "Like my body?" - will now be used by TrimSpa in a new advertisement which will begin airing next month.

Wearing dreadlock-inspired braids, Smith is seen surfing and frolicking on a Miami beach in the commercial, which was filmed on November 19.

Smith recently lost a staggering amount of weight on the TrimSpa regime and later became the company's spokesperson.

Clean Colon: Anna Nicole admits to more than TrimSpa

We knew TrimSpa wasn't as bling-bling as Anna Nicole Smith's necklace made it out to be. Sure, it may reduce your appetite to Mary-Kate's and give you the energy level of Jimmy Fallon, but getting all those pounds to drop from your ass just isn't as simple as popping a pill - at least not one you can purchase OTC.

And now Anna Nicole comes clean, literally: "When I was really thin but not losing some of the problem spots, I tried the colon cleanser and that just knocked the pounds off." Though perhaps she uses the word "tried" like normal people use the phrase "was addicted to."
