O.D.B.'S CHILDREN BATTLE FOR HIS ESTATE

Late rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard's widow is battling four other women who claim they had children with the star and are consequently entitled to his estate.

O.D.B.'s manager Jarred Weisfeld Monday insisted the hip-hop star was paying child support for at least seven children before his unexpected death on Saturday and has birth certificates signed by O.D.B. -- real name Russell Jones -- to prove it.

But O.D.B.'s wife of 13 years, Icelene Jones, argues the rapper fathered only her three children, dismissing rumors that he may have fathered more than 13 kids.

Weisfeld says, "I have seen the birth certificates of the four children in addition to the other three and they are all signed by Russell Jones personally. There is no question that those children are his.

"We made him a promise, if or when he ever passes, all his seven children will be taken care of."

ODB MOTHER AND MANAGER SUE FOR EXPLOITATION

Late rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard's mother Cherry Jones is suing production company AGU Entertainment, for allegedly exploiting her dead son.

The former Wu Tang Clan star's mother and manager Jarred Weisfeld have filed a $1.8 million lawsuit against the Florida-based firm, claiming they failed to fulfil deals for a hip-hop album and DVD, while continuing to use ODB's name to attract investors.

ODB, whose real name was Russell Jones, collapsed in a Manhattan recording studio in November after an accidental overdose on cocaine and a prescription painkillers.

Weisfeld's attorney Mark Frey says, "We're just saddened and shocked that AGU would do this, given what everyone had been through with Dirty's death."

Every record company would've done the same thing. Any art that is produced by someone becomes more profitable if they're dead.

Look back at Aaliyah. She sold more CD's and won more awards post-humously (sp?) than anyone else I can think of.
