Destiny's Child 'Destiny Fulfilled... And Lovin' It'

LONDON, UK, (2nd November 2004) -- Destiny’s Child announce dates and venues today for the UK leg of their hotly-anticipated world tour ‘Destiny Fulfilled … And Lovin’ It’.

Destiny’s Child (Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams) will kick off the UK leg of their world tour on Thursday 2nd June 2005 at Earls Court in London. The band will play two further dates in the UK. On 5th June Destiny’s Child will perform live at the NIA in Birmingham and in the Manchester MEN Arena on June 6th. This is the band’s first tour in over 3 years where they will perform at 75 venues over 5 months in 16 countries.

The new tour will combine the spectacular production and charismatic performances that fans have come to expect from Destiny’s Child with the intimate atmosphere and up-close connections of an arena setting.

The band began making plans for the new tour after completing their eagerly awaited new album ‘Destiny Fulfilled’ (Sony Music). ‘Destiny Fulfilled’ is the Grammy-winning trio’s first full-length album since 2001 # 1 world smash “Survivor”. The album features the group’s current track ‘Lose My Breath’ which is already a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

The ‘Destiny Fulfilled … And Lovin’ It’ tour will feature an entirely new stage, designed by the same team responsible for the sensational sets and dramatic effects the band used on the ‘Independent Women’ world tour. The open plan will focus attention on the band’s dynamic performances, while providing excellent visual opportunity for ticket holders in all seating, with 360 great views.

The ‘Destiny Fulfilled … And Lovin’ It’ tour is presented by McDonald’s. “McDonald’s share our passion for music, so we can’t wait to start connecting to our fans all over the world“, said Beyoncé Knowles, founding member of Destiny’s Child. “We always said we’d come back together… it’s more fun performing as a group. Destiny’s Child formed in Houston, TX, and rose to become one of the best-selling groups of the late-90’s and early 00’s. Destiny’s Child burst onto the music scene in 1997 with their multi-platinum single “No, No, No”. The multi-Grammy award-winning group has sold more than 40 million records and received a total of 22 gold, platinum and multi-platinum RIAA certificates. Destiny's Child tour is 'go'

POP trio Destiny's Child will tour Australia in April, it was announced today.

Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams will kick off the Australian leg of their world tour at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on April 21.

They will then take in dates at the Sydney Superdome and Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena.

The tour will be the trio's first in more than three years, performing at 75 venues over five months in 16 countries.

"We can't wait to start connecting to our fans all over the world," Knowles said in a brief statement.

"We always said we'd come back together - it's more fun performing as a group. We're planning to make this our biggest and most spectacular tour to date!"

Knowles said Destiny's Child began planning the tour after completing their new album - Destiny Fulfilled.

The tour will include new material along with Destiny's Child hits Survivor and No, No, No.

Destiny's Child has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide.

The new album will be released on November 15 with tickets for the tour going on sale on November 22.

Destiny's Child's Tour Bus Likely To Smell Like Fries

McDonald's sponsoring trek that kicks off April 9 in Japan.

For months, people have been buzzing about a rumored Destiny's Child world tour. Well, buzz no longer, because the R&B supergirls have announced the first batch of dates, and they're bringing Big Macs.

The McDonald's-sponsored Destiny Fulfilled ... And Lovin' It Tour kicks off April 9 in Hiroshima, Japan, and hits 14 countries in Asia, Australia and Europe. The North American leg of the tour begins in July and will make stops in 44 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Though exact dates and cities have yet to be announced, it was announced that the final stop of the tour will be in Honolulu in September.

As part of a deal Destiny's Child inked with the fast-food chain in October, the group will hit up McDonald's restaurants along the way, "[meeting] with McDonald's crew and managers to celebrate the tour stops in each country," according to a press release. They'll also be featured in special restaurant promotions.

Beyoncé, in a statement, said fans can look forward to seeing Destiny's Child in TV commercials and acting as global ambassadors for World Children's Day.
