I was doing research for the RPG and found this information about the SS movie.

Ooooooh! Interesting. That could be very useful.

That gets my head spinning. If any of those questions were right, it would mean everything we based our theories on, everything we've counted on, could fall apart.

I have a feeling that at the end of the series we will be pleasantly surprised. However, at the same time, I think it will be a simple ending that we should have expected the entire time. Have you read Little White Horse? Supposedly, the HP books are heavily influenced by this book. The ending of LWH is very sweet and simple, despite the entire book being a bit of a mysterious adventure. I suspect HP will be the same.

Wait im confused.. where are we getting all this about a cottage and a final confrontation?

That's possible Sherry, but James is most likely dead because of his image coming out of Voldemort's wand in the cemetary.

Oh, I do think he is dead, but I think that he was not there that night. I do think that there is the possibility that James and Lupin switched souls so to speak, so James is in Lupin's body. It is out there, but JKR is going to have to go out there to wow the fans.

There is a theory out there that James and Lupin did a switching spell. Lupin's soul went into James' body. The reason? That there was something so important that James had to survive at all costs, but we have no clue what it was . Supporters of the theory say that Lupin acts way more caring than a friend would. I like it because it is so soap opera like.

The only reason why I don't buy into that theory is because if James is really alive, I doubt they would continue to torture Harry by having him in the custody of the Dursleys.

I thought JKR already said the switching soul things was definitely not the case....

And about the original post, JKR wrote the entire confrontation flashback scene herself. Of course, if she left it up to the screenwriter, something would go wrong and it'd make it even more obvious what the truth is.

It's in a flashback when Hagrid is telling Harry how his parents died.
