A CHEEKY fan welcomed Kylie Minogue to Scotland's yesterday by showing her what he wears under his kilt... HER PANTS. Brian Blakely's undies left the Aussie pop princess howling with laughter as she arrived here for the MTV Europe awards.
He lifted his kilt to reveal a pair of knickers from the star's own Love Kylie lingerie range.
Painter and decorator Brian, 24, pulled the stunt in front of red-faced Kylie shortly after she arrived in Edinburgh to rehearse for tomorrow night's MTV Europe Music Awards.
She had just said: ``There's nothing sexier than a man in a kilt.''
After Brian revealed his undercover secret, she added: ``You've got a `come on' look about you. I just hope they're comfortable.''
Painter and decorator Brian said later: ``I have fancied Kylie since she was in Neighbours, so this was a dream come true.
``She told me I was a good sportand gave me an autograph, so it was definitely worth it.''
``I just hoped she liked what she saw. Shehadabigsmileonherface and I think that says it all.''
Painter and decorator Brian admitted he was worried that the stunt would offend his fiancee Lisa Brentall, 20.
But he said: ``She laughed her head off. I waspanicking. I thought she would kill me.
``What I plan to do with the knickersnow is strictly privateand for the bedroom.''
After she had recovered from the shock, Kylie said: ``It wasn'tnearly as painful for me as it must have been for him standing there with his kilt up and with those knickers on.''
Kylie was appearing on MTV's TRL show when presenter Dave Berry organised Brian's little surprise.
Berry later presented Kylie with a pair of long johns to keep out the winter chill during her stay.
She immediately wrappedthem around her neck and said: ``I'll wear these as a scarf.''
Kylie flew back to London last night after spending just an afternoon in Edinburgh.
TWO lucky students will land ``bum roles'' filling in for Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Lopez at the MTV Europe Awards.
The stars who have the most famous rears on the planet will have their own ``sit-ins'' for when they have to go on stage.
Organisers have hired over a hundred students to temporarily fill the seatsof a host of top celebrities. Edinburgh's Queen Margaret University College and Stevenson College, as well as Perth College, are supplying the ``sit-ins''. An MTV spokeswoman said: ``When an artist wins an award, it looks really bad if the camera pans across and there are empty seats.''

The star -- who's branched into lingerie retail with her own brand, Love Kylie -- is convinced women are more interested in wearing bigger garments these days, because they're tired of wearing uncomfortable thongs.
She says, "Big knickers are back. Women want comfort again. And I don't mean that we're going to start wearing the sort of underwear our grandmothers wore.
"It'll be more French and sexy, but definitely bigger. The G-string is last year's thing."

DJ Sassy has caused a sensation by lending her shapely bottom to a campaign for an internet holiday firm. Now the 25-year-old, who has insured her own behind for £1 million, says she is delighted to knock Kylie, 36, off the throne.
She said: 'I don't rate Kylie's bum - she hasn't got one. She's got tiny hips so she's not really got a behind.'
DJ Sassy, who used to date England defender Sol Campbell, said: 'In the US, people like to see a proper behind, but in this country it's been different - no hips and big breasts. But the role model seems to be changing back again to the more womanly Marilyn Monroe style.'
The DJ added: 'I don't think Kylie's shape is a very good role model for teenagers. It's about time that curves came back.
'I've been told that I've stolen her crown and now have the best bum in Europe.
'Women are not meant to look like men with boobs. We have hips for a reason.'
The super-sized ads, measuring 20 by 10 metres, have been shot by fashion designer Vivienne Westwood's son Ben, a professional photographer.
