Are Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey Splitting?

Rumours are rife that pop diva Jessica Simpson and her singer husband Nick Lachey are on the verge of a split because Nick does not get along with Simpson's parents and wants some time alone to concentrate on his career.

The young stars who star in MTV's reality show 'Newlyweds,' had married two years ago, but Nick is said to be fed up of living in Simpson's shadow and thinks her parents don't respect him.

"Nick is very upset right now. He feels like he is trying to have his own career and Jessica's parents give him no respect. They don't treat him well. The MTV cameras are going to go away soon and when they do, Nick wants a break. He needs some alone time," the New York Post quoted an insider as saying. (ANI)

I think it is inevitable that they would split up. He is really hard on her and never apologises when he's mean or nasty, she apologises to him for being stupid and although I can understand taht she's not the easiest person to live with, he just doesn't seem to like her very much.

TROUBLE FOR SIMPSON AND LACHEY?

Rumors are swirling that pop hunk Nick Lachey cheated on his wife Jessica Simpson with porn star Jessica Jaymes at a bachelor party.

Star magazine and National Enquirer both claim Lachey frolicked with Jaymes at the October 12 bash for his sound engineer friend Sean Sullivan, held at the Hollywood Hills home of C-Note Records owner Cody Leibel.

While Jaymes admits Lachey watched her in a sex show, she denies anything else happened.

Jaymes tells Page Six, "I was hired to perform at a bachelor party. And yes, Nick Lachey was there.

"I did a girl-on-girl show with another porn star, whose name I don't know ... There were toys used and naughty actions going on.

"The guys are allowed to put money on me, and Nick put some money on me and that's about it. I went home with my bodyguard later that night.

"Everything's been exaggerated. Everyone had a really good time. That's really all I'm allowed to say."

A spokesperson for Lachey has denied the allegations: "Nick was there, but he didn't do anything wrong. These claims are completely false."

The groom-to-be Sullivan wed Jennifer MacFarlane at Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church on October 15, where Simpson played bridesmaid and Lachey's brother Drew was best man.

I have always thought Nick was a ladies man. I would guess he's already been unfaithful and if not, he will be and they'll break up. You see it on Newlyweds, he is always hanging out with beautiful ladies and there was an article in a magazine recently about Jessica having to drag away froma group of women when they were at the MTV awards, but he kept going back to them.

The Associated Press reports that the couple, who celebrated their second wedding anniversary on Oct. 26, are taping a new season of their MTV reality season. And, yes, Simpson told People magazine, they get into arguments.

"What married couple doesn't?" the 24-year-old singer said. "You don't want to marry somebody who's just like you. So there are always going to be conflicts. That's what compromise is all about. It means that we're communicating."

And Lachey, 30, says he isn't jealous of his wife's popularity.

"There's no bigger supporter in Jessica's life than me," he told the magazine.

As to reports that Lachey got jiggy with a stripper at a bachelor party last month and that their marriage is on the rocks, Simpson said: "Our relationship is better than it's ever been. We are absolutely not breaking up."

Cracks In Nick And Jessica's Marital Foundation

Though Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey spent the weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel for the 98 Degrees star's 31st birthday party, The Las Vegas Review Journal reports the married couple flew in and out in separate planes, she was seen shopping by herself twice on Sunday, and spies spotted them arguing in public.

There could be perfectly normal reasons for them flying in and out together, they both work hard, maybe they each had other committments to go to. Jessica always shops by herself, I don't think you see Nick shopping with Jessica much. All couples argue sometimes, that's normal. Nick Lachey has gone public to blast reports of a marriage split between him and pop star wife Jessica Simpson. The former 98 Degrees star admits he's taking press rumors of a split in his stride, because he accepts he and his wife of two years help to sell tabloids.

But recent headline-grabbing tabloid reports in America have upset both of them. Speaking to TV's "Access Hollywood" Thursday, Lachey said, "I don't know where they get these stories from.

"They put a picture of me coming out of JFK (airport) and said, 'Nick with a mysterious blonde lookalike.' It's my sister-in-law.

In Touch magazine reports that while Nick Lachey celebrated his 31st birthday in Las Vegas with Jessica Simpson and the MTV cameras rolled, things looked lovey dovey for the couple, but not so when they were turned off. "They looked indifferent and a little glum," an onlooker who saw the couple several times over the weekend earlier this month revelaed.

Another witness added, "It was a very tense weekend. Jessica was snappy and short-tempered with Nick every time that I saw her. Things just seemed very on edge." But Jessica's dad Joe claims there are no problems. "They are as much in love today as they were the first day they got married," he insisted.

Hollywood couple Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey spent the Thanksgiving weekend reassuring concerned family members that they weren't on the verge of splitting up.

I was always skeptical of this marriage b/c of how it happened. If you've ever seen Jessica's "Driven" on VH1 you know what I'm referring to. Basically she and Nick had been broken up for awhile and after the events of 9/11 she (being the overdramatic romantic) believed that she and Nick should never part again. A little after that came a proposal and then marriage.

The rumour mill continues to churn out stories of a split between the high-profile couple, and People magazine claims to have the latest "inside word".

The US gossip bible has reported that a rogue email detailing a rift between the two stars has surfaced after a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony in New York last month, which resulted in a "tense backstage atmosphere" between the pair.

While Jessica and Nick posed perfectly for the paparazzi, a production company employee reportedly documented that things were, in truth, quite the opposite and they were far from a couple at the November 30 event.

"Lachey and Simpson had separate dressing rooms and the couple hardly acknowledged each other throughout the evening," the report said.

It's not the first time rumours of a split have surfaced, with both stars indulging in nights at strip clubs while apart recently, Jessica enjoying not one but two male performers at the same time, one report suggested.

The couple has predictably denied everything, making fans believe they're about as likely to split as Eddie Maguire and Channel 9.

Speaking on ABC News in the US, Jessica and Nick sat as one to turn down tickets to Splitsville and profess their undying love for each other.

"We're each other's foundation and we're each other's rock and we have to lean on that when there are storms to weather," Jessica gushed on Good Morning America.

"We really are trying to think of where this whole firestorm of gossip came from," Nick concurred.

"We haven't been able to find really one instance or one public spat. There hasn't been anything and our marriage has never felt stronger and life has never been better than it is right now."

That interview was conducted before the Christmas lights ceremony, however.

Jessica has clearly been running on a short fuse lately, and there has been evidence of that on the set of her new movie The Dukes Of Hazzard.

Co-stars Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott received a terse response to quips about the size of Jessica's backside.

"Johnny and Seann have been saying her butt looks big compared to the original Daisy. They know she's sensitive about it," one source told Ananova's gossip pages.

"In one scene, Johnny and Seann are in the car as Bo and Luke talking to Daisy and then leap out. But in one take they leapt out naked from the waist down. Jessica freaked out and told them to grow up."

Nick Lachey Offers Blonde Hotel Room Invite

The New York Daily News reports that Nick Lachey struck out at ESPN Magazine's Super Bowl party in Jacksonville, Florida on Friday (February 4). The 98 Degrees singer, married to Jessica Simpson, had his bodyguard as a blonde at the event: "You want to meet Nick? Because Nick certainly wants to meet you."

After the pair met, the guard then came over again giving Lachey's cell phone number. "You call in 20 minutes and come over to the hotel," he told her. The woman didn't go, but the report will no doubt fuel speculation that Nick and Jessica's marriage is in trouble.

Nick Lachey has hit back at accusations he's been cheating on his wife Jessica Simpson.

This week reports emerged the heartthrob ordered his bodyguard to talk to a mystery blonde on his behalf after she caught his attention at the ESPN Magazine's post-Super Bowl party on Sunday in Florida.

UNDERCOVER JOURNALIST THREATENS TO PUBLISH LACHEY'S NUMBER

Pop hunk Nick Lachey has been threatened by two undercover journalists who warn they will print his phone number unless he admits he tried to seduce them.

This week reports emerged that the ex-98 Degrees star tried to cheat on his wife, Jessica Simpson, by ordering his bodyguard to talk to a mystery blonde on his behalf at the ESPN Magazine's post-Super Bowl party on Sunday in Florida.

Lachey denies giving his cell number to the woman and her brunette friend and inviting them to spend the night with him.

But one of the women is Jo Piazza, a journalist at The New York Daily News, and she's prepared to publish his number unless he confesses.

The paper threatens, "Sorry Nick, you picked the wrong girls. The brunette was our staff member Jo Piazza and the blonde her best friend. We've got your cell number and you wouldn't want us to prove it, would you?"

Life & Style Weekly reports that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey's marriage is all over but the announcement. Many friends of the 'Newlyweds' stars believe they're already secretly separated.

One source revealed, "Some of Nick and Jessica's friends are saying the decision to split up has already been made. They may already be history and they're just waiting for the right time to make the announcement."

Adding fuel to the already blazing breakup fire, Simpson was out and about without her wedding ring.

To be honest, it's bound to happen, IMO. Jessica makes more money than Nick, she's more popular, Nick has no personality one way or the other (he's smart, but he's boring...), and that's a big reason why his career is stalling. He also doesn't have the right people around him so his music and videos aren't up to standards, which keeps him in the background.

He's also in a personal competition with Jessica, or at least that's how it seems when I watch the MTV show. A marriage can't take that situation forever....

On May 2, Jessica Simpson grinned and glowed as she strutted the red carpet at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art, for the lavish celebrity-filled Costume Institute Gala celebrating Chanel. She wore a va-vavoom sexy Flamenco-inspired dress, but the cute man on her arm wasn't Nick Lachey -- he was the dress' renowned designer, Michael Kors. Nick, Jessica's husband of two-and-a-half years, was nowhere in sight. "I asked her where Nick was," says a friend of Jessica who was there, "and she told me, 'Oh, Nick and I aren't together,'-- as if I was the last to hear the news!"

He certainly wasn't the first. As a friend of Nick says: "Nick and Jessica may be separated," adding, "I know their publicists and managers are trying to figure everything out in terms of their careers, but it seems like there's no more marriage." Only last month, the couple visited U.S. troops overseas -- and appeared picture-perfect. But the husband-and-wife are also business partners and performers who probably know that loving demeanors -- even if an act -- are good business.

When the tour ended, Nick, 31, and Jess, 24, parted ways. Nick flew to Sweden where he's recording his next album, and Jessica traveled to NYC for the Costume Institute Gala. That party wasn't the only event where Nick's absence was noticeable. On May 3, Jess appeared at Madison Square Garden for MTV Networks Upfront presentation, the network's preview of new fall shows. Nick's solo reality show was unveiled at the event -- but not only was he unavailable to promote it, Jess, who was there, didn't plug the show either.

They HAVE been seen apart more than together lately, but it's all supposed to be because of Nick being off recording his new album and Jessica promoting various charities athat she works with. They did do that wierd military photoshoot, but it does look like the Simpson marriage is about to fall apart.

Split Rumours Still False Say Simpson Clan

The whole Simpson family has come out to defend the marriage of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey after more rumours surfaced that the pair were set to split. The latest divorce rumours come from the set of the Dukes of Hazzard where once again Jessica has been intimately linked to Hazzard co-star Johnny Knoxville. With Knoxville supposedly calling in his divorce lawyers in, gossip is that it is so that he can be with Jessica when she formally her split from Nick.

Joe Simpson, Jessica’s father and Manager, has come forward to state that the couple have had their rough times, but are nowhere near divorcing. He has admitted the couple have had fights and that both parties have probably felt like leaving at one point in time. But according to Joe this is just the sign of a healthy relationship.

Sister Ashlee Simpson has also been unofficially quoted by a fan as stating that the split claims were “rubbish” when questioned on the street.

Jessica Simpson Hears New Nick Lachey Cheating Accusations

A report last week in the Star tabloid gave an extensive accusation where 19-year old Ohio State co-ed Danielle Calo accused Jessica Simpson's hubby Nich Lachey of cheating. Though the co-ed said only deep French kissing was involved but no sex, she still considered it cheating.

A representative for Lachey insisted, "This story is completely untrue."

Now In Touch joins the fray with a report this week titled "The Truth..

Lachey's best friend, bartender Chad Leslie claims in the tabloid that the singer became a little too close with his then-girlfriend Angela Bartlett, 25, when he was in Cincinnati, Ohio, to support his former 98 Degrees bandmate Justin Jeffre.

Leslie told In Touch:

"Nick and Angela came into the bar where I worked at about 3:30 in the morning. Angela asked for my house keys and said she was going to drop Nick off at the Cincinnatian Hotel, and go back to my place."

But, when Chad arrived home around 4.30 a.m., Angela wasn't there. So, he decided to go to Lachey's hotel, to ask him where his girlfriend is. Unfortunately for him, he saw Barlett's car parked outside the hotel.

After trying to call her on the cell phone several times, Leslie says: "I asked her where she was, and she wouldn't tell me. I told her, 'I know you're upstairs, please come down, I just want my keys so I can go home.'

Chad demanded: 'I need to know what happened in the room.'

Angela said they opened a bottle of wine and Nick tried to kiss her, but she pushed him away. "Obviously, she was trying to hide something," Chad speculates.

"She was in that room for an hour and a half, not answering my calls."

Denials to In Touch came from Angela, as she replied to the tabloid, "Nothing happened at all."

Nick's rep concurred calling Chad's story, "absolutely not true."

Still - these continued accusations have to be taking a toll on the Hollywood couple.

Simpson and Lachey's Italy Trip 'To Save Marriage'

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey's recent trip to Italy was a last-ditch attempt to save their marriage, according to music manager Lou Pearlman. After denying a barrage of reports that their marriage is on the rocks, the pop couple left their Los Angeles home for a romantic trip to Italy earlier this month.

And, while the pair maintain their relationship is still strong, Pearlman, who represents Lachey's friend and former 98 Degrees bandmate Jeff Timmons, claims he's heard the couple are struggling.

He tells Star magazine, "Timmons says Nick told him, 'My marriage is shaky right now. I'm hoping this trip will turn things around. 'This trip could be a second honeymoon -- or preparation for a divorce. I don't know what's going to happen, and Jessica doesn't know what's going to happen, but we're going to give it our best shot.'"

Representatives for the couple deny the claims.

Simpson and Lachey's third-year wedding anniversary is on Wednesday.

The paparazzi were all over them when they arrived in Europe and the magazines have all had "body language experts" analyse the photos and declare that they're not in love.

Who the hell looks in love after a non-stop 16 hour flight to London? I look like I'll kill anyone who even looks at me funny, but Nick & Jess stopped and politely stayed for photos (although they were both being very conspicuous in displaying their wedding rings) I would've told the photogs to get lost.

The mags are saying that Nick doesn't want a divorce yet because he will then be a nobody, he wants to get a solo career going and then divorce Jess unless things get better. Jess supposedly doesn't want a divorce on religious grounds, and wants them to make the marriage work. I think they could make it work. It's up to them and them only whether or not they try. (although some mags are saying taht Papa Joe has scheduled the wholel relationship right down to when and where they appear together and when and where they can be seen with other to when and where the split and then divorce will be announced, but to me that sounds too strange to be true.)

That phot of Jess partying in Las Vegas (seen here under drinking problem headline) has been passed around so much as being the cause of this break up but the photos are from Ashlee's birthday. It's not like she snubbed Nick and went off for a girlie night, it was her sister's birthday for God's sake.
