Ashlee Simpson has shown no mercy on the charts. First, her Autobiography destroyed the sales milestones of her more famous sister, Jessica. Now, Ashlee's kicked her former boyfriend to the curb.
Providing some needed drama in an otherwise slow music sales week, Simpson's debut disc easily outpaced that of her ex, Ryan Cabrera's big-label debut, Take It All Away.
Autobiography moved 164,000 last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan numbers released Wednesday, nearly 100,000 more than Cabrera's album, which sold 66,000 to debut at number eight. (If it's any consolation, Cabrera did outsell Mr. Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, whose SoulO opened at 51 last November.)
Cabrera, who benefited from face time on MTV's The Ashlee Simpson Show, is a longtime family friend from the Dallas area. Though he and Ashlee are no longer an item, Cabrera is still managed by Ashlee and Jessica's father, Joe Simpson. Though the split was amicable, Simpson's "Pieces of Me" is about her ex.
Aside from the Ashlee-Ryan showdown, there were few sparks on the album chart. Now That's What I Call Music! Vol. 16 sold another 207,000 copies to displace Simpson at number one. In a twist, the compilation contains Jessica's "Take My Breath Away," briefly giving the big sis a leg up.

We haven't got the Ashlee Show in Australia yet, but we didn't get Newlyweds till ages after you guys either, so we might get Ashlee's show sometime, especially now since her music is doing so well over here.
They might be back together, rumour has it that they went to radio station KIIS FM's annual JoJo Jam concert together and even posed for photos together.
oh..... i'm not really a fan of him, i've never even heard Ryan's music. but i do know she wrote Pieces of Me about him, which makes it kidna sad to see them break up
Well considering they are holidaying in Hawaii together and are seen holding hands, etc there, then, yeah, I think we can assume that they are back together.
man you know, I don't like Ashlee. They is just something about her, that I don't like. (more of the fact that she has to lipsync) but I like Ryan and I wish they would just pick if they are together or not. I wish not!
the relationship is pretty much.. they are together when they see eachother. but when they are both on thr road they tend to take breaks. But when they see eachother again they forget about the "break"

Pop star Ashlee Simpson is laughing off reports she's dating pal Lindsay Lohan's ex Wilmer Valderrama, insisting there's only one guy in her life -- on-off boyfriend Ryan Cabrera.
Simpson sparked a gossip storm when she drove through the night for a romantic midnight meeting with Valderrama on the set of his new movie, "El Muerto," in the Los Angeles desert.
But the singer, sister of reality TV star Jessica Simpson, insists she's true to one guy.
She says, "We're at a really cool place right now -- not boyfriend-girlfriend, but we date only each other. When we broke up, it wasn't to see other people; it was just because our crazy schedules made having a relationship hard. Now we go on dates all the time ... we have the best time together, and we're so close. I'm not into any guys other than Ryan."
She keeps saying they're together even when they're apart. But he keeps saying that they're not together. Maybe they need to tell each-other this stuff, instead of telling journalists.

Just weeks after Simpson confessed, "Our crazy schedules made having a relationship hard but now we go on dates all the time," and, "I'm not into any guys other than Ryan," the spiky-haired rocker is looking to move on.
Cabrera made no secret of his romantic interests during a recent visit to the Medici Lounge club in Dallas.
Amanda Wright, who claims Cabrera asked her to go home with him, tells the National Enquirer tabloid, "He didn't seem like some guy who was in love with another girl."
Wright insists she didn't take lusty Cabrera up on his offer, so he spent the rest of the night smooth talking other girls in the bar.
