| DESTINY'S DESTINY'S GRANDCHILD GRANDCHILD
BEYONCE'S dad, Matthew Knowles is looking to find the UK's answer to Destiny's Child.
Knowles, who manages Beyonce, the band Destiny's Child and top 10 star Mario, will scour the UK in a bid to find the perfect combination to rival his daughter - and he's hoping that out of around 1000 girls he will audition, he will find possible stars to send to an American-style boot camp to see if they've got star quality.
Knowles, who runs his own urban music label in the UK, collected an award for Destiny's Child at this weekend's TMF awards in Rotterdam and he was discussing plans to get either sister channels MTV or VH1 to show his proposed programme as he searches for tomorrow's stars. It's also been rumoured that Beyonce's boyfriend Jay-Z will be one of the judges in the final elimination process.
Matthew said: 'I'm looking at signing UK artists. I've been introduced to a very promising female singer so far and somebody else has told me of some other performers I should look out for.'
Matthew used the awards to promote his new Destiny's Child tour when he went on stage in front of the 10,000 crowd at Rotterdam's Ahoy stadium saying: 'Hope you've all got your ticket for the tour, it's gonna be great.'
The full show will be screened on TMF next Sunday, April 10 at 5pm featuring Girls Aloud, Jamie Cullum, Mario and a host of European stars.
