| CARTER REGRETS END OF DUFF ROMANCE
Pop heart-throb Aaron Carter deeply regrets cheating on ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff -- because he's still in love with her.
The singer, 16, began dating Lindsay Lohan while he was still with Duff, which ended their relationship.
The move prompted Duff and Lohan to become longtime foes, and more than anything, Carter would like to have the singer as his girlfriend once more.
He tells Star magazine, "I'm still madly in love with her. I'm not with her, but that's just how it is. I messed up.
"I cheated on her with her best friend, which was very stupid of me and I regret it to this day... I didn't mean to do it, it just happened.
"But I still speak with Hilary every once in a while."
Carter has offered his verdict on the long-running feud between Lohan and Duff, branding Lohan the "troublemaker" in the situation.
He tells Star, "Lindsay is a troublemaker! She always has been, and that's coming from knowing her for five years. When I broke up with her in 2002, I said, 'Goodbye! I don't want any more of you!' She was really, really possessive. I haven't spoken to her in two years."
