| Posted by: gaboman | | Just got this game yesterday, and it kicks butt. You can play with up to 4 people, and very often have up to 4 characters in the game at all times.
It starts off with you playing as Wolverine and rescuing a girl named Alison (i think...), beating up Mysterio and meeting up with Cyclops. You can just jump between these two characters as you fight through the rest of the level.
Then, in the Xavier mansion, you can walk around the different rooms, go into the danger room, start missions, whatever you wish.
Missions involve selecting X-Men to fight, using their powers to do stuff (like freezing lakes, making bridges with ice, putting out fires...), you can improve your characters constantly as your skill level increases, and your powers become stronger.
All in all - it is funky! Get it get it get it! | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Sierradaddy | | I liked what I saw of it, but I'm annoyed that the game isn't ANYTHING like the previews... THAT would've been a cool way to play the game, but I don't know why I thought it would be like that......
Ah well, when I played a bit of the first chapter, I had some fun with Wolvey. I'm gonna get it as soon as I can.... | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: gaboman | | I noticed the previews mainly consisted of the cut scenes... so, yeah, nothing like that. But I love building up my X-Men team and their powers.
I'm up to, like, the 5th, maybe 6th, mission and am finding it quite fun to play around with. I've just recently added Magma and Collossus to my team... who are pretty good. My favorite to play with is wolverine, since his health replenishes quicker than anyone else's and it saves me from having to add health manually.
The thing I don't like about the game is the fact that sometimes you wont have the right X-man when you need them. Therefore you have to go back to a save point and change your team... I had this happen when I needed Storm to use her hurricane to push a piece of metal, so Cyclops could weld it together...
other than that, the game is quite solid, and seems to just go on forever The danger room is an awesome tool too, to get some fight training in for you X-Men and get their levels up without risking their deaths | | Reply To this Message

I've got all the X-Men on my team now, except one. Don't know who that'll end up being... I've got Wolverine, Psychlops, Jean Grey, Jubilee, Rogue, Beast, Gambit, Storm, Magma, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Colossus, Iceman, and Emma Frost. I've also been able to play with Professor Xavier in one level, which was pretty cool.
Still haven't gotten my X-Men to full health though, but they're getting pretty strong
Though I got GTA: San Andreas yesterday... so I'm probably gonna play a lot less of this now | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Sierradaddy | | Didn't end up getting X-Men... My conscience got the better of me that day... Then I rented GTA: San Andreas, and all bets are off on X-Men Legends. San Andreas is UNBELIEVEABLE! I've GOTTA get that game... | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: gaboman | | LoL, poor X-Men. It was good though, I'm up to the final level. Unfortunately it's really really hard. Like 100+ ultimate sentinals and this big one that I can't kill, and I made the mistake of saving before stocking up on health packs
I'll start a thread for it and discuss it with you, if you're up for it... I'm not that great though | | Reply To this Message
