Avril Lavigne Chats With Jackie & Bender

Avril Lavigne phoned into the Jackie & Bender show in KISS 106.1 FM in Seattle from Scotland to talk about her upcoming gig at the station's Jingle Bell Bash on December 5th.

Avril, noticeably more cheery than in interviews promoting her previous album 'Let Go', talked about her appearance in Maxim, and justified the photo spread. She talked about how her look has evolved as she has become an adult.

Avril says she wants a little dog like Jessica Simpson has, but not one like Paris Hilton's Tinkerbell. Download and listen to the interview here

Speaking of Interviews I was reading the new Maxim with Avril in it and things are just as I thought they were. She DOES NOT consider her self to be punk rock. Let me repeat that for the hard headed people....SHE DOES NOT CONSIDER HER SELF PUNK ROCK. Here is the quote....

"Look I never once said I was punk, I don't want to be punk. I'm just a really strong opinionated person. Though I do like punk, some of my favorite bands are punk bands: Pennywise, The Distillers and Green Day."

I'm not even a fan of Avril and I could figure out this much about her. I've said so many times she probably doesn't consider herself punk way before this interview. It amazes me how people will refuse to use their brains.
