No, I don't agree, I think the age you can smoke and drink should be left where they are.

If you smoke behind your parents back, you mustn't have a very good relationship with them.

I feel anyone who doesn't write in coherant sentences should be barred from any activity, besides education

IF you are living on your own, paying your own way, with money earned by your own two hands, you should be allowed to smoke whatever the hell you want to smoke.

But if you are living under your parents' roof, and they say you can't smoke, that's tough luck, son.

I think it is actually cigarettes he is talking about. He's saying that you should be able to buy them from shops once you are 14 years old. I believe the bleeped out word is f-a-g-s.

well, wtf? they can already drink earlier over there than you can in the us if I'm not mistaken. He must be 14 cuase there can be no good explaintion on why it should be 14. nothing else happenes when your 14. if they were 13 they would say you should be able to smoke when your 13 if they were 15 well you get the point. NOw 16 i can see, you trusted to drive and stuff you should be able to decide weather or not you want to purposely fill your lungs with toxic chemicals I guess.

I am assuming the same, the first poster must be young. I smoked when I was 16 and it's not legal here until your 18, but if you try hard enough you can get cigarrettes. Most storepeople can't be bothered asking for Identification.
