Aunt Beyoncé spilled the beans on her baby sister's new baby.
Solange Knowles, Beyoncé's 18-year-old, pop-singing sibling, gave birth to her first child last week.
It was Beyoncé who broke the news, telling E! Saturday at the star-studded Carousel of Hope fundraiser in Los Angeles that "my sister just had a baby four days ago."
Indeed, Solange gave birth Oct. 18 to a baby boy named Daniel Julez J. Smith. Not so little Daniel tipped the scales at nine pounds, four ounces upon his grand entrance in a Los Angeles hospital. He is the first child for Solange and her husband, Daniel Smith.
The younger Knowles married Smith, a University of Texas football player, in February (you do the math) in a small ceremony in the Bahamas attended by her family, including Beyoncé and cousin Kelly Rowland.
Though Solange was once rumored to be joining Destiny's Child as a fourth member, those plans have apparently been put on hold as she builds her own career.
The younger Knowles, who like her diva sister prefers using just her first name, recently starred in Johnson Family Vacation opposite Cedric the Entertainer and Bow Wow, and she has been putting the wraps on a new solo album, the follow-up to her 2003 debut, Solo Star.

Supposedly it's because of numerous factors, being that Solange's husband (who she is apparently split from) is biracial, and that Solange's mother is partially Creole. Creole is a Southern culture, seasoning, etc... The term Creole was coined to identify lighter blacks from darker blacks in enslaved areas such as Louisiana and Texas. Using this term has fallen out of favor apparently, but Tina Knowles refers to herself/is referred to as being from this culture. | | Reply To this Message

A lot of black babies are born white, or fair, and develop a darker pigment as they get older. I myself was born white, but now I'm about the same shade as Beyonce, maybe a bit darker. | | Reply To this Message

BEYONCE KNOWLES' stylist mother TINA sent the family attorneys out to find the callous gossip who suggested her daughter SOLANGE was bleaching her baby.
Tina insisted the investigation be kept under wraps because she didn't want to fuel the speculation that upset new mum Solange, who gave birth to baby son DANIEL last year (04).
She recalls, "It was on the internet that my grandchild had a clubfoot and my daughter Solange put him in a bariatric chamber to bleach him. I was furious because my child was crying."
Tina reveals she challenged editors at the Houston Chronicle, when she heard the rumour stemmed from the newspaper's reporters - but they insisted it had nothing to do with them.
The family is still on the hunt for the culprits.
