Britney To Tell All - Letter of Truth |
| Posted by: schmiggens | | Will Brit tell all?
If you've ever had a question for Britney Spears, you may be in luck.
The pop princess has announced that she will unveil a letter to her fans Monday that will "explain everything," Britain's Ok! entertainment magazine reports.
While the tell-all letter was originally due to make its debut last Friday, Spears' Web site states that the new Mrs. Kevin Federline is adding the "finishing touches" to the posting.
But don't get too excited: All that wisdom comes at a price. The letter will cost you $24.98 to access--unless, of course, you're already a paying member of Brit's fan club.
But don't worry--the cash won't go to waste. Britney might use any profit she makes from "The Letter of Truth: I Hope You Can Handle It" to help pay for the $6.9 million Malibu home she is buying. The 9,000-square-foot gated house sits on 11¼2 acres and comes with a tennis court, pool, spa, gym, gardens and outdoor kitchen.
Nesting, perhaps? Only the letter will tell.

Dear Fans,
I am going to start writing this column now as often as possible. The reason is so I can talk directly to you, my fans, who have stuck by me & who continue to support me. Also, I'm not going to be as busy as my Mom. She's running behind my sister like crazy! I am also going to take some time off to enjoy life. I've actually learned to say "NO!" With this newly found freedom, its like people don't know how to act around me. Should we talk to her like we did when she was 16 or like the Icon everyone says she is?
My prerogative right now is to just chill & let all of the other overexposed blondes on the cover of Us Weekly be your entertainment... GOOD LUCK GIRLS!! I'm sorry that my life seemed like it was all over the place the past 2 years, it's probably because IT WAS! I understand now what they mean when they talk about child stars. Going & going & going is all I've ever know since I was 15 years old. It's amazing what advisors will push you to do, even if it means taking a naive young blonde girl & putting her on the cover of every magazine.
I know now that my knee gave out on me this past summer so that I would have no choice but to stop. My body was shutting down and needed rest. It's funny how the Man upstairs works. Right now, I have to go-- I really want to watch "Saved" with Mandy Moore and re-runs of Sex and the City. I want to enjoy all of the simple things that I missed over the past few years due to working way too much.
Being married is GREAT and I can't wait to start my family! There is so much change going on right now... not only with me, but in the world, as well. So, the next time you see my face, hear one of my songs or even if I'm the topic of your next conversation, please remember that times are changing & so am I.
Love always,
Britney
PS I look forward to writing you all again soon. Kevin and I are finally able to take our Honeymoon!! | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Are Britney and J.Lo Desperate Housewives?
Queens of the Gossip Page Now Say They Just Want to Be Left Alone
Oct. 29, 2004 — Everybody's talking about TV's "Desperate Housewives," but I think Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez may just qualify as the most desperate housewives around.
Before you try to beat me about the head, consider a few things.
Britney Spears Federline, as she is now known, recently posted a letter to her fans after promising to do so for quite some time. In an interview with Britain's "OK!" magazine, she told her minions that she'd deliver "The Letter of Truth" and it would only be available to those who joined her official fan club, which meant they'd have to pay to read the thing.
Turns out, her big spillage came in the form of a three-paragraph posting on her Web site, britneyspears.com, and it came at no cost at all.
And what was her grand revelation? She says she's going to lie low because she's learned how to say no. She's going to turn down work and be her own gal.
Brit blames her advisers for pushing her since the tender age of 15, suggesting her naiveté and youth led her down a less-than-desirable path over the years.
Now, let's take a closer look. I realize the business of celebrity is just that, business. Once these kids choose the limelight, there's virtually no stopping the PR machines that become their lifeline. However, she did make choices, and Spears not only has a bevy of advisers, she also has a family. She has a mother active in her career and a father on the sidelines, both of whom watch what's going on along with managers, publicists, etc. And I can assure you, none of them — advisers, trainers, mommy or daddy — pushed her to get loaded in Las Vegas and marry a high school pal for all of 55 hours.
And when the young singer tied the knot, her inner circle swooped in to get her out of her own self-induced downhill spiral.
In her letter, which might aptly be called a "Declination of Dependence," Britney also claims her recent knee problems were obviously a big sign from the "Man Upstairs" that it was time to stop the insanity, so to speak.
She wants out of the public eye for a while. So she quickly married again, and she tells fans she's ready to start a family of her own.
Here's my response to Britney:
Good riddance, darling. The public has taken a poke in the eye from you over the last couple of years.
You've been singing with backup vocals, wearing less and less clothing, and you've jumped from a one-night-stand of a first marriage to a second marriage with a man who just had a second child with his ex-girlfriend. I speak for us all when I say you're definitely "Toxic."
They say with age comes wisdom, and maybe so, but J. Lo is 35 — 13 years older than Britney — and she's just as lost.
Now out and about with husband No. 3, Ms. Lopez is whining about being tired and just wanting to focus on her marriage and her family.
I'm sorry, but when did we ask her to make a spectacle out of her relationship with Ben Affleck?
She managed to have a quiet wedding with her newest husband, Marc Anthony. It went off without a hitch.
Lopez claims to suddenly be in "Phase Two" of her life (I count three!), where she wants her private life to be her own. Again, she just wants to focus on home and having a family and again, she's tired. She has been saying this on every interview she's done in the past few weeks touting her new movie, "Shall We Dance?"
To J.Lo I say this: Take a nap, a long, long nap. No one's keeping you up but you.
It's time for Britney and J. Lo to pack it up and head for Wisteria Lane, where TV's "Desperate Housewives" try to make sense out of their lives. It's time for these two stars to practice what they've suddenly decided to preach. If they want privacy and a slower pace, then quit telling everybody about it and just go do your thing.
You don't have to be desperate to be a housewife. You can be anything, even "Married With Children."

Dear Fans,
I’m just getting back from my honeymoon and it was absolutely breathtaking! This is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. Unfortunately, we couldn’t take our honeymoon right after the wedding because of the closing on our new house. We are just settling into our new home and it is coming together perfectly. I’m redecorating a lot of things because when we decide to start a family, everything in it needs to be perfecto! I love decorating; it’s very therapeutic for me. I believe your house is a reflection of yourself, so I want everything in mine to be exquisite.
My new hobby is experimenting with all different types of art lessons. It’s always been a passion of mine. Maybe I’ll even do my sister’s make-up next year for big events. Jamie Lynn is turning into such a beautiful little lady. Her new show is coming out soon and I am sooo proud of her. It’s called Zoey 101 and it will be on Nickelodeon in January. DON’T MISS IT!
I haven’t really thought a lot about work lately. What better time for a greatest hits album to come out? I can actually enjoy & reflect on my success at this point in my life. I may be disappointing some fans out there, but I don’t think I’ll do another tour for a couple of years. My priorities in life have changed. I am having fun again reading all the magazines that I enjoy (mainly because I am not on them). At this point and time, what I want is not my face on every cover, but someone else’s instead. I really want to help other people achieve their dreams and possibly even develop new artists. Everything is in the very beginning stages and it feels great to just think about different opportunities that I am interested in pursuing.
The Holiday’s are right around the corner and I can’t wait to have my own Christmas tree in my very own house. As far as New Year’s plans, I really wanted to have a huge party for all our friends and relatives who were unable to be at our wedding, due to the last minute surprise element, but I think we might have to wait until after the house is completely finished.
Well, I’ve got to go. My dog, Lacy, just got fixed and she’s not acting like herself! I’m going to have Shabby Chic re-cover her bed and maybe that will lift her spirits!
Love, B
PS~ Regarding last week’s letter: I’m not the type of person to put blame on other people, but I do feel that some things which were done for me were not always in my best interests. Looking back, I feel now that on my 4th album “less is more” should have been the way to go. As for me quitting the business for good, that is kind of harsh. As I said earlier, my priorities have changed and I am going to be focusing on three main areas of my life for the immediate future. Myself, my husband, Kevin and starting a family. When I really come back, things will be totally different. Until then, there are some things close to me that you might be interested in seeing. For one, you will be able to get a taste of my fine hubby on a few covers; Jamie Lynn has her show coming out and of course, the tabloid’s weekly analysis of my “letter of truth”. Hopefully, they won’t be trying to decipher that one for much longer! I can’t wait to read what they say this week. He He! Well, now I’ve really got to go!
Love ya,
B
(Look for an exclusive honeymoon photo to be posted on Friday)

A new letter of truth for the new year! Read Mrs. Federline's latest screed to official fanclub members...
| quote: |
Happy New Years! - 1.3.2005
Dear Fans,
A new year is starting and I have so many resolutions. If only I could convince myself to stick to them!
My Christmas was wonderful and I had such a great break. I think I should rephrase myself from my previous letters when I was talking about taking a “break”. What I meant was I am taking a break from being told what to do. True Masters say it’s cool when you look at someone and don’t know whether they are at work or play since it’s all the same to them. The things I’ve been doing for work lately have been so much fun, because it’s not like work to me anymore. I’ve been even more “hands on” in my management and the business side of things and I feel more in control than ever.
I just shot a cute video for “Do Something” that I co-directed. After doing about 20 videos, it gets kind of boring playing the same role, so I chose to work with a young, hungry, director Bille Woodruff. He had no ego whatsoever and the whole process was just so much fun. Oh, his dog was just adorable too.
As much fun as I had, I have to say I was a little disappointed that I still had to convince my record label that making this video was the right thing to do at this time. But, in the end, I think everything came out great. We shot the entire video in a record breaking 5 hours. I even came up with all the choreography and styled the entire shoot myself using Juicy Couture clothing.
Co-directing this video was like an experimental project for me. I feel like being behind the camera is sometimes more satisfying than being in front of it. Working on this video was my first taste into behind the scenes work which I am excited about doing more of in the near future. When a woman directs, I think it just alters the entire feel of the movie, production or play in such a positive way. Speaking of, I’ve been working on writing and hopefully eventually directing a musical which makes fun of the whole Hollywood scene, which is appropriately titled “Hollywood”.
On a different note, I have a new dog named Lucky and I just bought her a new dresser for her room. Yes, she has a room, which she shares with Bit Bit. For Christmas, they got a baby chandelier to go in it. It’s the cutest thing in the world!
I have to go now because my other dog, Lacy, has been sick for a little while and I need to go give her medicine.
Happy New Year!
Love,
Brit

| Posted by: schmiggens | | BritneySpears.com New Section: "Truth Be Told"
As part of the 2005 site redesign, Britney will be adding her "Truth Be Told" section, where she will respond to some of the tabloid gossip and rumors she comes across. However, since the rumor mill is never-ending and there is not enough time in the day to possibly respond to it all, this section will be reserved for matters that Britney really wants to share her feelings on.
In this new section (arriving early 2005), Britney will respond to some of the tabloid gossip and rumors she comes across. Below are the latest items that Britney would like to address:
The media's never ending "Britney vs. Christina feud"
Britney would love to be close with Christina again. In fact, Britney recently wrote Christina a letter telling her how happy and beautiful Christina looks lately.
Is there professional competition brewing among the Spears sisters?
Not at all!! Since the age difference between Britney and Jamie Lynn is so great, Britney has always taken on a mother figure role to Jamie Lynn and not just that of a sister. There has never been any sibling rivalry between these two and Britney couldn't be more proud of Jamie Lynn and her career success. Britney thinks Jamie Lynn looks beautiful on her Seventeen magazine cover and thought the inside story was very cute & funny.
Speaking of Jamie Lynn's "Seventeen" magazine cover story, does Britney want to start dressing similar to the Olsen sisters?
Nah, Britney made a comment on how Ashley & Mary Kate dress fun & funky so that Jamie Lynn might think about experimenting with new and different ideas in her own wardrobe choices and style.

Dear Fans,
Valentine's Day is around the corner and I am so grateful to have someone I love. I fall more and more in love with Kevin everyday. We've been away from each other for a week now and I think I'm losing my mind! It's the longest we've been a part from one another. He's working a lot right now and I'm so happy for him. His Details cover is coming out in a little over a week and the pictures are so hot! Stay away girls! (he he) I have such a great surprise planned for Kevin on Valentine's Day. I can't wait to see him tomorrow!
I haven't seen Kori in two weeks because I've been home in Louisiana with my mom. Hopefully Kori can come here for a visit soon because I miss her so much! I bought her the cutest dresses for Easter and to wear this summer. I love buying kids clothes.
For some reason, I can relax so much better when I'm in Kentwood. It's like food for the soul. I think when Kevin and I start a family we might build our dream home right behind my mom's. It's true; home is where the heart is. I've been having so much fun with my mom lately. We've been indulging ourselves with the simple pleasures of life. I think I may do this for a while.
I'm so excited, my dogs are stylin' and profilin' because Von Dutch just sent them the coolest little clothes! I think my dogs are so much cuter than Tinkerbell (ruff! ruff!). My mom's mad because the dogs are still having problems with their potty training. It is kind of bad because we have white carpets. They will learn soon though, I hope!
I think my momma and I are going to go see "The Wedding Date" later today. I love watching fun, girly movies. They always put me in a great mood!
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day with the one you love. But if you're single, just round up a group of your friends and grab some low-fat Blue Bell ice cream. It's the best!!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Love,
Britney

| Posted by: schmiggens | | NEW LETTER FROM... LYNNE
Lynne wrote the letter for us this week... Britney is on the Gulf Coast and asked her to fill in...
| quote: |
Dear Fans,
It's been a while since I've written. Britney is on the Gulf Coast with Kevin enjoying the scenery and southern hospitality so she asked me to write this week's letter for her.
Britney, Kevin and all the pups have been with Jamie Lynn and me for the past few weeks. They have been redecorating a few rooms in their new Los Angeles home. She will not let me come see what she has been doing until it is completely finished. I can only imagine!
Jessica, my niece, is staying with us too. All of a sudden our home is quite a lively place! So much so, that we are tearing out walls to make rooms bigger. We are also going to replace some draperies. I believe the small fires we've endured have permanently turned some of the drapes grey, so it's time for some new ones.
Jamie Lynn is so preoccupied with school and after school activities. Softball has started once again and she's still competing on the cheerleading team. Most night's she makes it home by 9pm, but it's a fight to keep her grades up this time of year. However, she always manages to work miracles.
Bryan came home last weekend to attend one of Jamie Lynn and her cheerleading team's competitions in New Orleans. We had so much fun. Even we Moms enjoyed ourselves. I know Bryan misses our Cajun cooking because his stomach is always a bottomless pit when he comes home. I do believe Kevin and Britney may decide to have a second home here in Louisiana, hopefully next to me. They are still making all kinds of plans so nothing is definite yet. Kevin loves it here as much as Britney does. He says he loves my cooking, yet he goes to Nyla's to eat at least once a day when he is here. I wonder who will be bigger, Bryan or Kevin, when their metabolic rates slow down!
Britney and Kevin were unable to make it to Los Angeles for Dan Dymtrow's 30th birthday weekend, but we have heard some of the stories and it sounds like a great time was had by all! Happy Birthday, Dan!
Britney is so excited about the International launch of "Curious" next month. Elizabeth Arden has something really special in the works and we are all so excited about the fragrance being available overseas very soon!
I am so happy to be able to write a letter once again, I have really missed keeping in touch with all of you.
I know the weather has been wreaking havoc all over the world, so I hope everyone is safe. Please remember to keep all of the tsunami victims in your prayers.

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Letter of Truth - March 2005
Madonna first introduced Kabbalah to me at a time in my life when it was much needed. It has helped me get rid of a lot of negative influences that were guiding me down the wrong path. There came a point where not even my family or my advisors had the answers I needed. The answers I was looking for were all in my heart. Through Kabbalah, I was able to look within myself, clear all the negative energy and turn my life around.
Now that the chaos has subsided, I finally feel as though I have the control I've wanted over my own destiny. I'm in a place where I can take Kabbalah seriously and truly learn from it.
Whatever your religion may be, it's amazing what the power of prayer can do, it can even perform miracles! | | Reply To this Message

Though I think it's good that she doesn't slam other religions and try and covert everyone to Kaballah like Madonna does. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | New letter by Britney: False tabloids
Dear False Tabloids,
As you read this letter, I bet you are asking yourself: Who? Who, me? Am I a false tabloid? Well, I don't know. But after this posting, I hope you are asking yourself a lot of questions. Your employees are a reflection of your magazine. Do you, Us Weekly, In Touch, Star and other desperate magazines want employees who are honest, or those who are liars? It seems to me that you'd prefer the latter. I'm really concerned about the people you hire to work at your companies. I'd like them to ask themselves the question, "What am I lying to myself about?" Is it that you are 50 pounds overweight? Is it that your children aren't making wise decisions? Or is it maybe that your husband or boyfriend is cheating on you? Until you face what is going on in your life, I guess you'll remain a false tabloid.

In an interview with "Access Hollywood," Pamela Anderson says she supports pop star Britney Spears' latest attack on the tabloid media.
Anderson says she can relate to Spears, who lashed out at the tabloid media in her latest website posting. "I could be suing everybody for misrepresenting or misjudging character," she says. "At the end of the day, hopefully people realize that the tabloids are just awful. They sell magazines based on negative stories about people, I mean no one's going to buy happy stories."
The actress, star of Fox's upcoming sitcom "Stacked," also reveals that she won't allow any tabloid magazines in her presence. "I had them all removed from my set," she says. "I don't have them at my house, and I don't have them in my limos or cars. I just said, 'Look, I don't want any of that stuff around me.'"

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Cross And Longoria Join Spears Tabloid Attack
"Desperate Housewives" stars Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria have defended Britney Spears' recent attack on "false tabloids" - and are considering uniting to ban gossip magazines.
Cross and Longoria appeared on US news show Access Hollywood last week (ends01APR05) to publicly urge the press to stop publishing unsubstantiated gossip about them.
Cross was furious about recent articles outing her as a lesbian, and Longoria agreed that unless celebrities form a collective against false journalism, it will get worse.
Cross complains, "I've learned personally that they can write anything they want. It's hard, and the fact that she would say that doesn't surprise me - it's a hard thing to continually, in your private life, have to deal with. I don't know how you protect yourself, I really haven't got any ideas."
Longoria adds, "I think we should totally unite and just ban those tabloid magazines." | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | New letter from Britney: Down Time in Arizona
Dear Fans,
I think Arizona has to be one of the most healing places on Earth. Kevin and I were there for two peaceful and relaxing weeks. Our house was on the top of a mountain and was absolutely breathtaking. I lived at the spa and gym. Being in the desert does something to my soul. Every time I go there I have the most amazing experiences. My dad and my cousin, Laura Lynne, came to visit us for a few days. We saw Ashton Kutcher's new movie, 'A lot Like Love", which was adorable. We also ate at some amazing restaurants in Scottsdale. Eating for two is so much fun; I get to eat lots and lots!
My and Kevin's new UPN series is coming out soon. May 17th to be exact! Doing a documentary series seemed like the last thing I would do. Having our series be compared to all the "reality shows" on television right now and putting ourselves out there seemed crazy, but that is exactly when I realized I should do it. The craziest things I've ever done have always been for the best. The incentive behind me doing this series wasn't for my career. So much happened last year much too fast and I really wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to reflect on all of it. It's like my own therapy. I hope you guys enjoy our little project! We are having so much fun putting it all together.
Well, I have to call my mom now. It's her 50th Birthday today!!! It's time to party, Mom. I love you so much!!
Love always,
Britney

Dear fans,
Kevin and I had an amazing trip to Las Vegas. There is soo much to do there. It's like Disney World for Adults. We celebrated his dad's 50th birthday with a delicious dinner on the outside patio of Ghostbard at the top of the Pal Hotel. We got to spend time with his family & some of our friends, plus went to see a few great show.
I'm glad to be back home though. Our house is still being renovated. Kevin thinks everyone works faster if we stay at the house. All the construction is really loud in the morning; but, I feel he may be right. I can't wait for it to be finished. So far, it's coming along beautifully! My mom and I are going to start talking about ideas this week for the baby's room. She is so gifted in decorating interior design and I'm grateful to have her help. I've also been thinking of different ideas for the prayer and meditation room. Everything is going so well lately - it literally brings me to my knees.
I'm sorry to cut this short, but I gotta go get my beauty sleep for the Elle DeGeneres show and David Letterman Top 10 List taping tomorrow. Watch it if you can and don't forget to tune into our show on UPN Tuesday night at 9:00pm!!
