| Greetings to all, and welcome to the Harry Potter Survivor RPG on INReview! My thanks belong to Fuscia, who so helpfully filled in for me whilst I was engaged in pressing business with the Ministry of Magic. She would make a fine Albus Dumbledore, were there not one already!
From now on, I will assume the role of your host, guiding you upon your adventures in this game, and will be your only source of authoritative information, rules, challenges, and voting results.
I trust you are all familiar with the Survivor game. You'll face many challenges and obstacles on your journey to outwit, outlive, and outplay your opponents. Snakes, spiders, werewolves, unknown South American jungle natives will be commonplace, and (as Fuscia mentioned on my behalf), all contestants not wishing to die a most painful death should avoid the mud hole at all costs.
The resourcefulness shown by muggles such as yourselves never ceases to amaze me - persevering through life's little challenges with overall dignity and pronounced determination. While you embody the characters of our magical Harry Potter universe, you will not be allowed to take your wands, or any magical items, with you to the island.
Of course, magic would not be magical were it not to pop up fortuitously in the most random and useful situations! I will post a message in the challenge thread to alert you when this occurs. However, you will rely for the most part only on the supplies I provide, your creativity, and your teamwork.
You should try to stay in the mindset of the character you represent, and you should post each message as they would.
When it comes time to vote, you will send one PM to me, including your character name, your tribe, and the name of the character you wish to vote off the island. I will tally the results and post them in a special thread, which I shall create when needed.
Immunity challenges will be determined by the roll of a die. A roll of 1-3 will award the challenge to the Horklump Tribe, and a 4-6 will award the challenge to the Flobberworms.
Of course, you may post any questions you have in this thread, and I will be happy to explain things before we begin the game.
For now, we need to fill up the character slots with new players. I would prefer that each forum user play as only one character. The starred names below are open to be claimed. Please PM me if you wish to be signed up as a character, or if you wish to switch your current character affiliation.
