| Madonna barred from Egypt
CAIRO - Egypt is reportedly shutting its doors to Madonna following her recent visit to Israel.
Following a visit to Israel, Madonna is said to be banned from entering Egypt because of strained relations between both countries.
Egyptian Parliament members have reportedly issued an order to the government demanding that she be banned from entry into the country. They also included the names of other international singers in their list.
The MPs also called embassies abroad to deny Madonna, who is a devotee of the Jewish mystic faith, the Kabbalah, a visa into Egypt, the website worldnetdaily.com reported.
The demand came after she said she would celebrate the Jewish New Year in Israel.
Political relations between Egypt and Israel are strained, despite a peace agreement in 1978.
