nice attitude - I was asking because i have helped moderate this site for a few months and no one has ever posted anything.
I watch them all the time. Why would i want to know?
Easy, it is commonsense, I was going to talk about them and find out about new ones.

My Wheeles are turning far more than you will ever know! I have been out of the loop for a minute but would like to return to the loop. I've seen Akira and love Vampire Hunter D! And I have not seen L.I.L.Y. Cat for a long time but that is my all time favorite anime. By the way. You seem to think you know something about Games! Laughable!!! Lets see how much you know. I own Metroid Prime and would like to ask a question. Are you Game?!

I think i know something about Games?
hmmm let me think - i have a group of friends going to E3 for FREE (plane ticket, flight, room, food, etc: no charge) and for a REASON.
Can you guess why?

I know a little bit - since i'm going to school for digital video and have the programs they are designed in. I also have the software they used that helped with the movie Dinasaur and Pixar has used it -it made Spider man climb the walls in the city as well. Haven't touched that one too much though - only performed really basic junk pictures due to great time restraints.


I have a friend that has a brother that works for the TOP of the line Visual effects company for movies - can you guess what company. (Hint: They Created the nice surround sound with the little robot flying around)

you can ask but an answer I promise not.

I love Vampire Hunter D as well and wish a third would be created or at least in the works - i have the other two on DVD.

I love anime movies and stuff, although I never remember the names of any of them.

I know Akira, but everyone knows Akira, still I think it is a classic film and deserves the respect that it has. I have heard of that Vampire one you guys are talking about but dont really remember it.

I love animes too. I once went on an anime binge, where I rented as many of them as I could find in the movie stores like blockbuster. I realize that they don't carry too many...

However, thankfully in my city there's a guy who just opened up a store dedicated to anime, and there's a large asian culture here who just eat it up. I'm sure that store will be around for a while, and I hope that it gets the opportunity to expand. I haven't been in there yet, but I'll be going soon to be sure.

I'm also a comics freak. Well, I was as a kid... I haven't really collected for quite a while...

Dreamzwalker, are you referring to the good animation software stuff from Alias Wavefront? I'm DYING to get my hands on some of their software, but the industrial-strength stuff has a pretty high price tag (too rich for my thin blood...), and even if I had the software, I'd still have to upgrade my computer CPU/Motherboard/RAM in order to even check it out... Well, since that's in the works anyways, I'm still hunting for a good version of the software, even if it's only for temporary use...

I loved Akira. When you consider that it was made in 86 I believe, the animation is astounding. I can't say enough good things about Ninja Scroll. There was one about a bunch of high school kids that seem to have some pretty nice powers, or suits or something. That one was cool, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.

Ghost in the Machine was great...

I guess I'm really going after all the big ones, but I'm looking for more obscure ones that are really good... That's why I intend to visit my local Ir-Ben store (the anime store...) and get some information...

fave anime...gotta a be Rurouni Kenshin...gawd i love that show.

you all forgot about classic anime like giant robot and battle of the planets and we cannot forget fist of the north star . but there are some modern anime that are worthy of mention like yoma-curse of the undead, sword of truth , B.O.H.A. .

and by the way what do you think about martial arts movies like the duel , a man called hero, and/or the storm riders ?

Rurouni Kinshin is a great show but my favorite is gate keepers 21

My favorite has to be Trigun or Escaflowne.

I just recently saw Ninja Scroll again and that is pretty darn good!!!

NINJA SCROLL kicks a$$ !!!

We got a DVD set of Anime with Akira, Ninja Scroll and Ghost in the Shell for Christmas and it came with a sampler DVD of other anime movies and series' and stuff (even old stuff like Transformers LOL).

Some of them looked so cool and I am going to have to see them.

Who has seen Cowboy Beebop or Spriggen? They looked so awesome.

Sheesh you guys forgot the one that started the whole Gundam and Transformers series.................. don't tell me you guys never watched Robotech......... one of the best anime off all times....... sigh* ......... also anyone into the racing anime Initial D........... it is all the rage now it seems *shrug* when it has been out for forever!!!! Akira, Yokono, Vamipre Hunter, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the shell, Blue Gender, Nija Scroll, Trigun, DBZ ...... hell I can talk about all of them since this is something I collect........

Jonny you are all right with me since I have all of the above mentioned anime . but what about movies like B.O.A.H. , Giant robo , Battle of the Planets , and/of movies that were made into games like ninja gaiden , and JoJo's bizare adventure.

alright im going to but in now all thats cool in all but what happend to the trigun sieres and movies like x, big wars, smurai x "the movie"

When I was young I was completely additcted to RoboTech!! To this day I love the Sci-Fi story, the scale the epic struggle RoboTech represents. In which an unknowing human race is gifted/cursed by a alien battle ship that crash lands on earth. From there we are thrust into a technology boom with soom aids or survival in a galactic battle spaning generations that rivals Starwars. Forced to fast track our technical advancement or perish at the hands of far more advanced hostile alien races. It's just a classic. I can't help but feel that in the right hands it could be a great movie series.

Christ, for a second I thought 'anime' was reffering to porn. Phew.
Now, I have nothing against the cartoons, but I really had to snap at someone yesterday, for his obsession with a cartoon, 'ninja scroll' I think it was. He mentioned the word 'forte' and I said, 'I didn't know you were musical'. He then responded by saying 'Nah I'm not, the word 'forte' means the strong part of a sword'.... idiot'.
'No, it means 'loud' in musical terms'.
'Nuh-uh, they stole if from Ninja-Scroll'.

His mindless comments went on for the better part of 5 minutes, until it was too much.

Being quite musical myself, I at this point found it far too difficult to bite my tongue. I let loose with a string of facts about the terminology of music being MUCH older than 'ninja scroll', combined with some insults towards the ignorance of the man in question.

Thankyou, I had to get that off my chest.

But I'm not hardcore, I just like the artwork and the little edge that some of the characters have.

it's ok but i like Fushigi Yugi best followed by Gun Grave now.

Mine is Brandon from Gun Grave.

hmm my favorite is probably Naruto, followed closely by full metal alchemist and Samuria 7 - GITS the series rules as well - I prefer the subtitled anime to the english dubbed anime.
they even went as far as changing the sound effects in Inuyasha which was kind of a let down.

the reason i'm like brandon is because i'm a loyal friend that looks weak but is quiet strong

For me I'll say the main chareter from Vampire Hunter D simply because he is a complex and often misunderstood man.
