Bride Brit goes home

BRITNEY SPEARS and KEVIN FEDERLINE have jetted to her home town of Kentwood, Louisiana, for their honeymoon.

The couple wed on Saturday night and spent the next few days holed up in LA’s Bel Air Hotel before taking a private jet back to the south.

I can also reveal the singer did NOT marry in white. Designer Monique L’Huillier, who made her £15,000 gown, says it was a light coffee colour and her bridesmaids wore burgundy.

She says: “Britney wore a creamy latte colour. She wanted the gown simple and elegant.”

How boring. You'd think they would go somewhere nice and tropical and romantic, not back to Louisiana. Of course, I have never been to Louisisana, so it could very well be nice and romantic, but somehow I doubt it. This has got to be the cheapest Celeb wedding since... well.... since Britney's last wedding

Britney Spears’ honeymoon night lasted almost as long as her first marriage.

The “Toxic” star and her new hubby were reportedly holed up in their hotel room for 48 hours after their wedding and gave her entourage strict orders not to disturb them. “We rang Britney once and she went ballistic,” a bodyguard told the London Sun. “She said we were only to contact them again if the world caved in.”

The pop star has been quoted as saying she wanted to have four or five children and she would start trying on her wedding night.

Britney & Kevin's Honeymoon Hideout

So by now, everyone knows that pop tart Britney Spears got hitched over the weekend to her beau Kevin in an impromptu ceremony in L.A.

But where has the happy couple seen hiding out since their surprise nuptials? Access Hollywood was on the case and found out the new bride and groom have been holed up since Saturday at the Hotel Bel Air in L.A.

And as one would expect, it's been nothing but the best for pop princess Britney.

The pair is reportedly staying in a $3,500-a night presidential suite, which comes complete with king-size bed, formal living room, dining room, kitchen, private, patio and an outdoor spa.

Since the lovebirds have yet to emerge from their suite, like true honeymooners, they have been sipping champagne and all their meals have come courtesy of room service.

Not surprisingly, Sunday's Emmys have done little to zap the juice out of the Britney-Kevin buzz that is circulating through Hollywood, as Spears' wedding is still the hot topic.

Madge lovenest for Brit and Kev

BRITNEY SPEARS and new hubby KEVIN FEDERLINE are to honeymoon in Britain at the invitation of MADONNA.

The Queen of Pop called Brit to congratulate her on her marriage — then offered to put up the pair in her sprawling country estate in Wiltshire.

And she promised to teach them English country pursuits — in return for all the wedding gossip.

Madonna and hubby GUY RITCHIE suggested the break at their £9million Ashcombe Estate so the trashy tracksuit-wearing couple can escape prying eyes in America.

Britney was only too happy to say yes to the woman she regards as her biggest pop influence.

A source said: “Madonna always keeps an eye out for Britney.

“She has taken a keen interest in her career. She and Guy decided it would be a better idea to have them for a holiday than send them a gift.

“Britney was so flattered. She looks up to Madonna and has always claimed she is one of her biggest influences.

“Spending some time at Madonna’s house in England was the ultimate wedding present — it’s not an audience many stars are granted.”

Dancer Kevin must be pinching himself. One minute he’s lurking around the mall and the next he’s dining with showbiz royalty.

But the pot-bellied fast food fanatic will have to brush up on his eating etiquette.

Madonna’s pad is very traditional and the newlyweds can expect a formal dinner in the huge Victorian dining room. Not quite KFC.

Kev might also want to get himself some tweeds in case Guy takes him out for a spot of ferreting or grouse-shooting in the grounds of the 1,132-acre estate.

The pop stars have a special relationship. Madge sent Brit an expensive Kabbalah text as an engagement gift and the younger singer has kept it with her ever since.

Britney and Kev's mummymoon

IT should be the most romantic two weeks of newly-married BRITNEY SPEARS and KEVIN FEDERLINE’s lives – the honeymoon.

But whereas most couples would spend this passionate time on an island paradise staring lovingly into each other’s eyes, Britney and Kevin are . . . wait for it . . . staying with the singer’s mother.

The couple’s latest outing incorporated a trip to Brit’s favourite fast-food eaterie Nyla’s Burger Basket in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.

They even dressed up for the occasion, Britney wearing a pink shirt with the words I Am The American Dream emblazoned across the front and Kevin’s cap telling all and sundry to Rock Out With Your C**k Out.

And just to make the burger run extra special, they took along Britney’s little sister Jamie Lynn, to help carry home the greasy grub.

With the food safely stowed away in the car, it was then back home where Britney was greeted by the family pet dog.

The trailer park-fest that is the Spears-Federline marriage continues unabated.

LET'S HAVE A QUIET NIGHT IN, KEVIN

BRITNEY SPEARS and Kevin Federline wowed the world with their tacky nuptials and now they are doing the same with their honeymoon.

The couple have followed-up on their tracksuits and pole-dancing wedding with DVDs and junk food instead of a romantic holiday.

The pair have been holed up in Louisanna since they wed in September and we caught them stocking up on spicy curly fries and sweet pop rocks before heading home with a pile of films to watch.

Britney revealed she was desperate for a break to watch re-runs of Sex And The City and, by the looks of things, she'll have caught up on the whole six series before long.

Having shed her manager of nine years and married dancer Kevin Federline after a whirlwind romance, Britney Spears says she's taking a break from her career to enjoy life. And it seems the first step in the former child star's pop respite is a relaxing trip to Fiji with her new husband.

Wearing a long burgundy skirt and shades as she stepped off a jet at Navi International Airport with hubby Kevin, the My Prerogative singer was also sporting an undeniable grin. Boarding a seaplane, the couple were then whisked away to a private hideaway, where Britney and Kev could enjoy their honeymoon in style.

Located in the South Pacific, Fiji is a favourite getaway for famous names such as Nicole Kidman, Crown Prince Felipe and Pierce Brosnan – Arnold Schwarzenegger is said to own an island there – and features one of the world's hottest celebrity vacation spots, the Wakaya Club resort. The luxury cottages start at $1,800 a night and run to a staggering $6,500 for the "House In The Clouds".

Apparently for Britney, who has written an on-line letter to her fans revealing she's "going to take some time off to enjoy life", Fiji offers just the type of R&R she needs. And the faraway 300-island archipelago will also help her achieve another of her stated goals: "My prerogative right now is to just chill and let all of the other overexposed blondes… be your entertainment."

Britney may have more surprises in store – and possibly some baby news – after her trip. "Being married is great and I can't wait to start my family!" she writes, adding: "The next time you see my face, hear one of my songs or even if I'm the topic of your next conversation, please remember that times are changing and so am I."

SPEARS HONEYMOONS IN FIJIAN 'BLUE LAGOON' HIDEAWAY

Newlywed pop babe Britney Spears and new husband Kevin Federline have finally started their honeymoon on the idyllic Fijian island setting of the "Blue Lagoon" movies.

The singer wed father-of-two Federline in an intimate, secret ceremony at a friend's house in Studio City, Calif., on September 18, and filed their marriage licence with local authorities last week.

After posting her "letter of truth" to her fans over the weekend, which described Spears' plans to take time out of her music career and start a family with Federline, the happy couple flew to the island's Nadi International Airport via private jet on Monday.

Fiji Telelvision reports the couple took a seaplane to the 500-acre Turtle Island resort, where they can enjoy golden sands, deep-sea fishing, kayaking, scuba diving, horseback riding or Lomi-Lomi massage.

Turtle Island -- which only accommodates 14 couples at a time -- was formerly known as Nanuya Levu Island and was the location for the 1980 Brooke Shields classic "Blue Lagoon" movie and the 1991 Milla Jovovich-starring sequel "Return to the Blue Lagoon."

Spears' chart rival Jessica Simpson honeymooned with Nick Lachey on the same island following their October 2002 wedding. The "Newlywed" couple had warned Spears and Federline that they had a horrible time there, but the couple went anyway.

Fiji frets about the lid coming off Britney Spears holiday

Britney Spears is in Fiji, and that could be bad for Fiji tourism. Why? Because we know about it. And that could spoil her holiday.

Travel News Wire reported in its Monday e-mail to subscribers that the South Pacific Tourism Organization is concerned that celebrities won't visit places like Fiji any more if they can't do it privately.

Spears flew to Fiji by private jet Monday to spend eight days at a five-star resort owned by the Yasawa Group, which ordinarily promises privacy. But somehow the news got out and the tabloids know she is there.

Fijian media reported that Spears, her husband and bodyguard will spend almost $2,000 each per day at the resort just for food and accommodation.

"Fiji Visitors Bureau chief executive Viliame Gavoka said details of celebrities were so confidential the bureau did not have any statistics on it," Travel News Wire reported.

Usually it only gets out after the fact that Fiji has welcomed celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Pierce Brosnan, Russell Crowe and Mel Gibson.

It is a similar story in Hawaii, where Kona International is sometimes billed as the world's busiest airport for Learjets. Many celebrities own getaways in Hawaii, especially on Kauai and Maui, and those who actually live part of the time here, including Oprah Winfrey, Graham Nash and Willie Nelson, often find that local residents help guard their privacy to be neighborly.

The Halekulani in Waikiki and the Ko Olina Marriott on West Oahu specialize in sneaking celebrities into Honolulu, and often it is not until singers and actors return to Los Angeles that it is revealed they were here.

Britney went to Rajasthan, and travelled across Jodhpur and Udaipur. She particularly liked the Lake Palace in Udaipur.

Now back in America after her honeymoon she is busy with her next album Britney Spears: My Prerogative which will release next month.

Britney is reportidly interested in having a baby and enjoying her family life.

Britney Posts A Honeymoon Poem

Before y'all dis Brit's iambic rhythms, consider that she probably wrote it with 11 or 12-year-old fans in mind. Or don't. Whatever.

Here's the latest masterpiece Mrs. Federline has shared with the Official Fanclub.

Honeymoon Poem - 11.10.2004

A honeymoon at last, to get away from it all
My assistant Fe gave me the call.

I remember it well, as she was smilin'
She said it was called Turtle Island.

I packed my bags light and quick,
Then grabbed my pink dress & favorite lipstick.

We hopped on a plane and took our flight
I slept really well, all through the night.

As we arrive, I turn and look out the door,
People are greeting us right at the shore.

A meal, a shower and some ice cream
Then I threw my man down, you know what I mean!

Magical nights filled with stars
Silence is golden, no running cars.

Private dinners, romantic fires
Little piece of heaven, whatever your heart desires.

Friendly "hellos" and never goodbyes
When you're having fun, oh, how time flies!

As we sit and prepare to make our part
I thank you, Turtle Island, with all my heart!

~ Britney

Britney Spears' website now includes a poem that Britney wrote for her new husband on their honeymoon. [Audience aws] Isn't that sweet? Yeah, after hearing the poem, Britney's husband said, 'That's sweet and all, but what I'd really like you to do is pay my Visa bill'."

A Statement From Britney Spears Regarding Private Honeymoon Photos

Britney is not pleased with the big old fat man at Us Weekly.

NEW YORK, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is a statement from Britney Spears:

I am disturbed by the photos and article that appeared in this week's issue of US Weekly Magazine (dated Feb 28, 2005), which they call my "private honeymoon album." Kevin and I chose a resort location where we were promised absolute privacy and seclusion. Unfortunately, staff members took photographs of us, which we allowed them to take once we were assured they were being taken only for private use in a scrap book they gave us as a souvenir of our honeymoon. Other magazines, including the Star, contacted us when presented with these photographs and refused to publish them. Kevin and I thank those other magazines for respecting our rights of privacy.

Star respected Britney and Kevin's privacy

StarMagazine.com: Britney Spears has attacked Us Weekly for publishing private photos of her honeymoon on idyllic Turtle Island in Fiji last October. In a post on her Web site, britneyspears.com, the 23-year-old pop star also took the opportunity to thank Star magazine, which had been offered the photos earlier but had declined to publish them as an invasion of privacy.

Britney writes: "I am disturbed by the photos and article that appeared in this week's issue of Us Weekly magazine, which they call my 'private honeymoon album'. Kevin and I chose a resort location where we were promised absolute privacy and seclusion."

"Unfortunately staff members took photographs of us, which we allowed them to take once we were assured they were being taken only for private use in a scrap book they gave us as a souvenir of our honeymoon. Other magazines, including Star, contacted us when presented with these photographs and refused to publish them. Kevin and I thank those other magazines for respecting our rights of privacy."

Star Editor-in-chief Joe Dolce said he was pleased to see the magazine thanked for its decision not to run the photos. He added, "When we were offered these photos we spoke to Britney's people, and when they made it clear how important it was to her and Kevin to respect their privacy, we decided not to publish them. We hope they enjoyed their honeymoon!"

Earlier this week, Us Weekly faced criticism when it was alleged they had fabricated quotes from an actress they claimed had been the target of seduction by Brad Pitt in Greece last August. April Florio, 22, told Star that she hadn't met up with Brad in Greece and had only met him once, briefly, at a party. She said, "The direct quotes that are supposedly from me in the magazine article are totally fabricated." Pitt's lawyer also told Star that the 41-year-old actor had never been to Greece.

In theory can't she sue them for releasing the photos if she had a verbal contracts with them that they wouldn't be released? Or does it have to be a written agreement for that to happen?

Us Weekly responds to Britney Spears press release

Besides the obvious--fame, fortune, obsessive fans, etc.--the stars share a strong distaste for Us Weekly.

Both A-listers have lashed out at the glossy in recent days over spreads awarding them unwanted attention.

Spears' beef with Us began when the mag published unauthorized photos of her honeymoon with hubby, Kevin Federline--or K. Fed, as he's been rechristened in the press--in its Feb. 28 issue.

The pop diva said she was "disturbed" to see the spread featuring pics from her "private honeymoon album," which depicted the newlyweds soaking up intimate moments at the Fijian resort where they vacationed.

"Kevin and I chose a resort location where we were promised absolute privacy and seclusion. Unfortunately, staff members took photographs of us, which we allowed them to take once we were assured they were being taken only for private use in a scrapbook they gave us as a souvenir of our honeymoon," a distressed Spears said in a statement.

"Other magazines, including the Star, contacted us when presented with these photographs and refused to publish them. Kevin and I thank those other magazines for respecting our rights of privacy."

It's possible that the higher-ups at Us Weekly may have a wee beef with Spears as well.

In a recent sitdown with Details magazine for a cover story on the new and improved K. Fed (not a dancer, not yet an A-lister), Spears didn't bother to pull any punches while giving her opinion on the publication.

"I need to create my own magazine," the "Toxic" singer announced. "People are just way too obsessed with celebrity. Look at Us Weekly. I think the same guy who does Rolling Stone does Us Weekly. He's this big old fat man."

(Note: Jann Wenner is the publisher of both Us Weekly and Rolling Stone.)

For the record, Us agrees with Spears that she should start her own magazine.

In response to Spears' statement regarding the publication of her honeymoon pics, the mag indicated that the pop tart has been less than reclusive in the past.

"Coming from a celebrity who sold pictures of both her wedding and her stepdaughter, it's unlikely the issue here is privacy," an Us Weekly spokesperson said in a statement. "Could it be that Britney is seeing red after not seeing the green from these photos? Britney Spears should start a magazine if she'd like to dictate her own coverage."
