I just watched it last night, and then saw this forum so I wanted some feed back.
That was the dumbest movie I have ever seen. Well, certainly in the top few. The entire movie, I had to refrain from pushing the fast forward button. Not a good sign. I generally despise movies so I am not a good judge. I like finding nemo what do I know.

well, those fishes were cool.

I didn't like it either. I'd never read the book, but within the first 10 minutes I said ... well, I guessed the ending. Not sure why, but it seemed bloody obvious.

Also I hate anything where dogs die

I never read it either. I can not think of what fishes you are speaking of. I guess it could have come while I was in the bathroom or kitchen and this movie wasn't worthy of using the pause feature.

I read the book, it was a short story in Different Seasons or Skeleton crew....

I remember liking the jist of it, but hating the ending. When the movie came out, I couldn't remember the ending at all. I felt no desire to see it.

All I remember is it seemed to be a DARK HALF clone.

How did the movie end, maybe it will jog my memory.

Killed his ex and probably buried her in the garden under the window. Later the cop comes to see him writing a story up in the loft. Says he knows but doesn't have proof( never mind looking). He apparently no longer has a writers block so he is happy with his work/ending. His split personality reverts to the nice guy and tries to ask a girl out in the grocery store. I really think that is it. I hope I am missing something but at the same time, I am thrill that it has left my memory. Perhaps Gabo can elaborate further. Clint would have never taken that role.

I think the end was supposed to make you think that Mort is gone, and only Shooter remains... that's the purpose of the corn at the end. I forget why the corn makes you think that, but it does maybe he said something about eating corn earlier in the movie.

I remember hearing that in the original he doesn't end up killing the wife and her boyfriend, but instead gets shot or something... I have the book it was in (Four Past Midnight)... just need to get bored enough to read it.

We had it at the theatre i worked at. I watched the end a bunch o' times. So like the chick comes and he attacks her. I rember him picking up some hat and he puts it on. He then chases the girl outside into her car. He pulls her out and then beats her around. He then stabs her with the shovel. Then the cop comes and they chitter chat. Then the camera goes out the window and kinda goes into the darkness of the ground. Then it cuts to Johnny taking a bite out of the corn. Then THE END. Thats what I remember... I think that he put the body under the corn because the corn sucks up nutrients from the ground. So as the body dissolves or whatever the corn like sucks it into the roots leaving no evidnece er something. then if that happens he is in a way eating her by eating the corn. Know what I mean? Srry for the typing errors. I dun care

Yea if you watch some of the bonus features I think it was on, they were going to put a scene in of the dead bodies under the ground, but they took it out for some reason. It sure had an interesting ending

And I remember Johnny Dep singing some song at the end of the credits. It went something like.... mamas little short cake sweet and tall.... oh mamas sweet short cake......... er it was soemthing like that. But he sang it in the Jack Sparrow voice.
