| RICHIE WEEPS AS DAUGHTER BUYS MERCEDES
Reality TV star Nicole Richie made her singer dad Lionel Richie weep with pride recently -- because she bought herself a Mercedes.
The 23-year-old aspiring singer, who stars alongside best pal Paris Hilton in the hit reality show "The Simple Life," stepped out to pick up the luxury vehicle -- her first car -- and it proved to be a lot more emotional than she'd imagined.
She says, "Last week, I bought my first car -- a Mercedes -- with my own credit. And my dad showed up. He started crying and taking all these pictures. I was so embarrassed!
"He said, 'I'm so proud of you.' That made me feel really good."
