New Clarkson Album in October

Fans can expect more of variety on Kelly Clarkson's new CD.

Kelly Clarkson is getting ready to release her second album next month and, according to the singer, fans can look forward to hearing a more varied and rocking sound from her.

Clarkson, who co-wrote her current hit "Breakaway" with Avril Lavigne, tells the Houston Chronicle, "I'm just working with so many different kinds of producers because I want to make sure that I get a versatile CD."

Former Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody collaborated with Clarkson on some songs. Moody, who co-wrote all the songs on the multi-platinum Evanescence album "Fallen," also co-wrote the Avril Lavigne hit "Nobody's Home."

Clarkson's new album is not yet titled and is scheduled for release in October.

Kelly Clarkson to release second album

U.S. singer Kelly Clarkson says her new album reflects her more fast-paced life since winning American Idol and the release of her debut album Thankful.

It's rock & roll, baby, she told RollingStone.com. It's pop as well, obviously. I'm not Metallica -- but it is more rock, and it's a little deeper. It's very rock and it's very cool.

Producers and writers for Clarkson's sophomore effort includes Clif Magness and Rhett Lawrence, who also worked on Clarkson's first album.

We're still picking tracks right now, said Clarkson, who won American Idol's first season. We've got so many songs, we're just picking our favorites.

However, Clarkson, who, earlier this year, toured with American Idol second season runner up Clay Aiken, says she is eager to return to touring after the album is released Nov. 30.

I'll be touring right after the album comes out, she said. I think people know that when I perform live, I usually win the audience over.

The winner of Fox TV's first American Idol: The Search for a Superstar competition, during the summer of 2002 Kelly Clarkson went from an anonymous talent to a nationally known singer performing for an audience of millions of viewers. One of the show's most naturally gifted singers, the 20 year-old Burleson, TX native's vocal talents were discovered when she was in seventh grade, when her school's choir teacher heard her singing and urged Clarkson to join the choir.

After high school, Kelly Clarkson cultivated her voice and went to Hollywood to make her name; she appeared as an extra on an episode of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch but no other opportunities materialized. Upon returning to Burleson, Kelly Clarkson worked at a movie theater, promoted Red Bull energy drinks and ultimately worked as a cocktail waitress at a comedy club before entering the American Idol contest. It's not her, it's the girl from the Breakway video I think. Isn't it?

WHy do they have some random chick on her album cover. A little misleading if it is.

It's the girl who plays the younger version of Kelly in the Breakway video, she's not random.

I mean it's not her. Why would they put some chick from her video on the cover instead of Kelly it doesn't make since.

Who knows why famous people do anything.

I agree though, Even though Kelly is very very famous in America and most of the hard core fans would recognise the girl from the video in some form, if she really to push her career overseas, she should have her face on the cover.

Kelly's voice sounds rested on "Break Away". She was sounding very strained after AI.

Anticipation At Fever Pitch For Kelly Clarkson's 'Breakaway'

In a RCA press release, 'American Idol' season one champ Kelly Clarkson previewed songs from her sophomore album 'Breakaway', due out November 30th.

She said of the first single 'Since U Been Gone': "I went to Max Martin's studio in Sweden. We recorded it there with Max and the co-writer of the song, Lukasz Gottwald. The first time I heard the song I thought it was a little poppy, so I asked if we could rock the track a little. We put some heavier guitars and harder drums on it. Now it's explosive."

She looks different in them pictures. Not like the same Kelly. Does the rest of the story say anything good. I don't know...thanks for sharing, I can not wait for her new cd....only less then a week right?

I think she looks pretty in those pics, I saw the color ones at the UKgalleries site. Her album cover looks soo much like her SUBG cover.

I havent seen the SUBG cover...I don't think...her cd comes out in the morning...or that is when I am getting it!

this is the SUBG cover, if you ask me, it looks just like the Breakaway cover, except differ pic. Don't like it, the cover kinda scares me.... for some reason
