| SPIKE URGES WOMEN TO BOYCOTT DISRESPECTFUL RAPPERS
Outspoken movie-maker Spike Lee is urging career-minded African American women to make a stand against offensive gangsta rappers by boycotting their records.
The "Malcolm X" director insists that some hardcore rappers need to be taught a lesson.
He says, "[Bleep], suck my [bleep], Cristal, my rims...? As a human being, shouldn't you grow?
"If your subject matter is the same on your first album as on albums two, three, four and five, the [bleep]'s stagnant. You've got to grow.
"I think consumers have to be more demanding of the artists and the companies. If you're a woman and you see a video insulting to your womanhood, it's your right to say, '[Bleep] it, I'm not buying that artist's records.'" | |
) that when rappers call women hoes, the "b" word and etc., they are only referring to the women that carry themselves in that manner, NOT EVERY WOMAN IN EXISTENCE!! Let's keep it real. There really are hoes and "b" words in this world and I know plenty of them. People, including myself, should have boycotted his corny ass, brain twister, repetitive movies he kept putting out, making me and millions of others feel disappointed and wanted refunds when we left the theater.
