| NIRVANA fans are in for a treat with the release of a boxed set, which contains rare footage of the band.
Limited editions of the three-CD set, due out in November, will include a DVD showing the legendary group playing at a house party in Seattle before they hit the big time in 1987.
Expected to be one of the biggest releases of the year, the boxed set, the name of which is not known, was originally intended for release in Christmas 2001, to coincide with the 10-year anniversary of Nirvana's breakthrough album, Nevermind.
But surviving members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic were thwarted by lawsuits from Kurt Cobain's widow Courtney Love, who objected to their use of previously unreleased track You Know You're Right in the set.
The dispute was settled in 2002. | |
