whenn you download from kazaa they can only come after you if you share, so if you only download and dont share you are fine. right?

They also track heavy downloaders, but I have yet to meet anyone who's received a cease & desist order from RIAA. If you've got 500GB of mp3 files that you've ripped, you should watch your back. It's like getting caught with more than 1/4oz of marijuana as intending to distribute. No person can realistically listen to that much music for personal use, thus it must not be fore personal use - get my drift?

Ah don't use KaZaA, or at least get a peer blocker if you don't want them spying on you. You need a firewall to block this spying.
