Voldemort does like to cause pain, but is that happiness to him?

Remember in Order of the Phoenix, harry could tell Voldemort was happy and had been given good news? I believe he was laughing or something... laughing gives pleasure. Pleasure is a good thing. Makes you happy.

Just a guess, but I'd say he can think of happy things, if only the fact that he's killed so many people. Or torturing midgets. I bet the torturing of midgets is his happy thought that helps him fly... I mean produce a patronus.

It does make one wonder if being happy over demented things can get one to produce a patronus.

I don't think the happy thought itself was important, just the happiness it produces in the individual
