does anyone else think that she should've won?

Nope. I think Fantasia was better than her right from the start.

Even though I like Diana more, honestly, no. I don't think she should have won. I do, however think that her and Fantasia should have had closer amounts of votes than Ruben and Clay did, because to me, Fantasia and Diana were more equal in talent than Ruben and Clay were.

Diana has an amazing amount of talent, and a really strong voice. I bought her single and I love it. But, Fantasia IS doing better in the charts, so it makes sense that she won. It's not like the Ruben/Clay thing where the runner-up out sold the winner.
I think Fantasia is living up to the title, although I didn't like her voice and had been a Diana fan.

yeah, i just don't like fantasia's type of voice. i actually was rooting for LaToya but, ya no that didnt work out

and i KNOW that latoya is AWESOME she's got an amazing voice, but she's boring to me.

Did Latoya get a record contract?

I'm not sure. I think she deserves one, but she didn't have the personality like Fantasia to become the American Idol.

I hate Fantasia's voice... It's so whiney and annoying. I think Diana should have won. She's more of an idol.. For kids. She's kind of pudgy, she's younger.. She's cute, She's really sweet.. And she has amazing talent.. I was really pissed that Fantasia won.. The people that were voting must have been on Crack!

But there's so many Diana DeGarmo's out there already, Diana had nothing special she was just another one of the blonde pop idiots. Fantasia had something different.

She is different. She would have been the winner of American Idol.. Christina, Britney and Jessica aren't American Idol winners.. And she isn't an idiot. I don't like Fantasia, She seems *****y.. And not into her fans. She isn't pretty, And her voice is annoying. I would rather have another dumb blonde around... Rather than an annoying, ugly person.

Mickey Mouse Club, American Idol, all the same ****. I guess we have to agree to to disagree on Diana.

The Mickey Mouse club is not the same thing as American Idol..

What's different, you audition for some big-wigs, you go on what is basically a talent show, it's a TV show that "nurtures" young singers. Only difference is that viewers can't vote people off Mickey Mouse Club and there's no "winner". Otherwise basically they're both singing based talent quests.

They're similar, But not the same. Also.. Chritina, Britney and I think Jessica.. Came from The Mickey Mouse Club, Diana didn't. She came from American Idol.. That's what sets her apart from them..

well, I don't think fantasia is ugly but i don't like her voice either. i don't like the way she sings or what she does to a song when she "makes it her own". I understand why people like her voice, i suppose. a lot of people like that type of voice, but i can't stand it. i'd rather listen to nothing than to have to listen to fantasia.

You understand why people like her voice? Please share, Because I don't. She's whiney, annoying and ugly. What is there to like about her?

ok, first of all, even though I like Diana more, she should not of won. I think people like Fantasia more is because she's different, unique. I don't think Fantasia is ugly, I don't think she's annoying either. People have different tastes in music, everyones different in their own way. But, I think most people who watch American Idol are more into R&B or soul or who's the different one. Diana's more of the pop one. Fantasia's the different one. You can't really compare them two, because they're both different people with different styles. I don't hate either of them, because you can't hate when you don't know the person. Diana fans go support Diana. Fantasia fans go support Fantasia. Don't turn this into a nasty competition. They both deserve their success.

I really think that Fantasia won because everyone is looking for what's different... and most people see that young, white females are "too pop" and compare them to Britney, Christina, and all the other "cookie-cutter" pop icons out there.
