| Posted by: Oliphaunt | | Who likes Discworld? I've read about six of the books and I love them, but I think it depends on you're sense of humour. It's very clever, and kind of random! I think Terry Pratchet is a genius. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: hatchjaw | | Yes! Prachett is great. I've read almost all the Discworld books and the more you read the better they get. I'm re-reading Soul Music right now and enjoying myself immensely. So many clever details to be found. I may have to read the Night Watch books again after this. I really love the city of Ankh-Morpork. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: hatchjaw | | The Light Fantastic and Sourcery are among the few I haven't read. The others are great and his later books are even better. Just got finished with Soul Music. It's sort of a continuation of Mort and Reaper Man, dealing with the exploits of Death, among other things. I recommend it highly. And if you want to read more about Ankh-Morpork, Guards! Guards! is a good one to start with. It's the first of the books about the Ankh-Morprok Night Watch. They are probably my favourite books in the Discworld series. Or the Death ones. Or the witches. Well all of them really. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Oliphaunt | | My favourites are probably the death ones or the wizard ones. You should definately read the Light Fantastic. It sort of carries on from The Colour of Magic. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: hatchjaw | | I'll have to put The Light Fantastic on my reading list. I don't really know why I haven't read it already. It's been a while since I've read about Rincewind so it should be fun.
My signature is a Jack Handy quote. There are many pages on the internet devoted to his thoughts. Here's a link to one. Funny stuff. | | Reply To this Message
