BOYS II MEN ALREDY DROPPED THEIR FIRST SINGLE, "YOU MAKE ME FEEL BRAND NEW (2004)"
THEIR NEW ALBUM, THROWBACK", DROPS THIS FALL.

The album comes out on the 24th (this coming Tuesday). The first single was "What You Wont Do For Love" which has been playing for a while. "You Make Me Feel Brand New" is set to be the follow up single.

PS. The albums actually been available in Japan for over 5 months now.

Is it good? As good as their old stuff?

No, probably the worst of their albums. It's all covers of old songs. And when they do a cappella, you can tell they don't have Mike in the group anymore.

They sound okay, but they remade songs that were pretty good in the first place, so it seems kinda pointless. The song I like the most is the remake of Klymaxx's "I Miss You"... they killed the original in that.

Other than that, they were basically on par with the original songs, sometimes not quite as good (like in "What You Wont Do For Love" and "Time Will Reveal").

PS. It is still worth buying, sorry!

I know. I don't really understand what stopped them from releasing it in the states, but I have a feeling they were looking for a distributor...

Everybody knows Boys II Men are great singers...but did anyone see them on 106 n Park...they sung live...and sounded terrible.I didnt know what was going on.They left for too long I think.They were a little rusty.

I think because they don't have Mike in the group anymore. He really smoothed out their sound more than anyone realised before.

No, it was an internal disagreement with them. Mike wasn't fulfilling his obligations to the group properly. He did have a back condition, and always used that as an excuse, but at the end of the day he could have continued recording with them if he'd pulled his weight more. Also, I think they just didn't like him
