CELINE DION TO STAY IN LAS VEGAS

Canadian superstar singer Celine Dion is in talks to carry on her blockbuster Las Vegas live show for at least another three years.

Dion's contract, which earns her a staggering $100 million plus a percentage of profits, runs out in March 2006 -- but she is reportedly in negotiations with bosses at Caesars Palace to extend the agreement to at least 2007.

A source says, "Nothing has been signed. But it looks like there will be a one-year extension with an option for another year."

The new deal will net Dion $40 million for the extra year and $45 million for the option year.

Only one factor stands in the way of the deal -- the singer has made public her desire to have another child with husband Rene Angelil, the father of her 3-year-old son Rene-Charles.

If she wants kids, she'd better hurry up and pop them out, her hubby's getting pretty old already.

On the other hand, good luck to her for the shows, I hear she's quite a hit in Vegas!

CELINE DION SLAMS LAS VEGAS AUDIENCES

Superstar Celine Dion has hit out at audiences at her Las Vegas shows at Caesars Palace, saying that the audience is different from that of other concerts.

She tells the Chicago Sun-Times, "When I started here, I told myself, 'I'm not gonna expect anything.' That only leaves you open to disappointment. People come here for four days, they eat too much, drink too many free drinks, they get sick from all that, they are jet-lagged sometimes, so they just sit in the seat and sleep. As an entertainer, you have to be prepared for everything when it comes to the audience here. When you tour, people come there specifically that night to see you. They bought their tickets months and months ago. Here, they walk up to the box office an hour before the show. It's a very different kind of audience."

Even though they are only getting their tickets a few hours before, you'd think that you wouldn't buy a ticket if you didn't actually LIKE Celine Dion.
