Next Single - My Perogative & Greatest Hits Album |
| Posted by: schmiggens | | Rumour Number 1:
It's rumored that Britney's next single, for Hits, is Girls And Boys, a sensual track that was recorded for In The Zone but that didn't make it to the album. The song is already available online and on the bonus CD coming with the In The Zone DVD in some countries. Britney reportedly shot the video last week when she was seen at some studios.
Rumour Number 2:
Jive said that Britney will start recording her new single for Hits in the next 2 weeks. She's in love with Usher's Burn and so she wants to go for a mid-tempo R&B song. She's also planning a Hits TV concert to promote the album. This contradicts previous reports saying Girl And Boys was the next single... | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Rumor #1: My Prerogative - The name of Britney's Hits album
The name of Britney's Hits album is My Prerogative. The meaning: an exclusive or special right, power, or privilege.
Rumor #2: Her New Song Is Going To Be A Remake Of Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative"
Indeed, in addition to rehabbing the knee she injured June 8, forcing the cancellation of her tour, Spears has been busy working on her next album, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, due Nov. 16, which will include a remake of Bobby Brown's 1988 hit of the same name. Says Spears's spokeswoman: "Britney is enjoying her time off. She's getting her knee better, learning how to cook and enjoying time with her family and getting to know her new family."
Rumor #3: Britney to perform My Prerogative at this year's VMAs?
After the Cleopatra deal with the Boom Boom/Outrageous medley, a new rumor is starting to make some noise. Now, Britney would be planning to perform My Prerogative for the first time at this year's VMAs just like she did with I'm A Slave 4 U in 2001.
Rumor #4: "(I've Just Begin) Having My Fun," A New Single!
RollingStone.com posted a review of "(I've just Begun) Having My Fun" as it being a single. Now isn‘t this confusing, we totally need an official statement to clear the whole confusion up, because after MTV posting about a remake of Bobby Brown′s Prerogative ("Britney Covers Bobby Brown's ‘My Prerogative’ For Forthcoming LP"), it kinda started to get very confusing. Dont you think!
Whatever the next single is Brits Is Shooting A Video On Wednesday
Britney will start shooting a new video for ? song on wednesday.
Rumor #5: Outrageous Music Video To Coincide With Release of Curious Perfume
Britney should be shooting the video for Outrageous, because with the video wait and all its really screwed up...so far...its Outrageous...she will coincide it with her perfume.

Britney's first single off the Greatest Hits album is "My Prerogative,: a cover of the Bobby Brown hit from 1988.
Start tuning into your local radio station soon to hear it as this is sure to become the back-to-school anthem of 2004.

My Prerogative Album Release Date Changed To October 16th
Britney Spears' cover of Bobby Brown's 1988 No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit "My Prerogative" will serve as the first single and title of her upcoming "Greatest Hits" album. The full track list has yet to be unveiled for the set, due Oct. 16 via Jive. "My Prerogative" is expected to hit U.S. radio outlets in mid-September, with a video in the works.
The album will include a limited-edition disc of remixes, according to Spears' official Web site. In addition, a DVD collection of the artist's music videos will be released the same day.

MTV: Britney Makes Party-Crashing Her Prerogative In Next Video
Britney Spears' next single, a cover of Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative," makes a statement about her life, and the accompanying video will too, making it clear that Spears follows no rules but her own.
The singer ignores streetlights and traffic laws as her sports car speeds up a dark road in the Hollywood Hills toward a hillside manor, which has an air of old Hollywood about it, according to a copy of the video treatment obtained by MTV News. A party is in progress, which the singer gladly disrupts, jumping the curb in her car, crashing through a fence and splashing into the pool.
That sort of thing might put a damper on most people's party plans, but Spears just crawls atop the car as it sinks and starts singing, "Everybody's talking/ All this stuff about me/ Why can't they just let me live?" (see "Britney Covers Bobby Brown's 'My Prerogative' For Forthcoming LP").
Her dress soaking wet and clinging to her skin, she steps off the car and goes into the mansion, giving partygoers a look that commands respect and fear. She passes couples making out on the couches as she makes her way into a stainless-steel kitchen, where gourmet food is on display. She grabs a butcher knife, walks across the kitchen brandishing the knife, and just as she steps out of the room, she cuts the straps off her wet dress, letting it fall to the floor.
While it's not clear if she's wearing anything now, Spears walks into a study, where a man sits in the dark with his back to her, watching a black-and-white film projected on a pull-down screen. It looks like a skin flick from the 1940s or '50s, but as he watches it, his cigar smoke curling up and illuminated in the projector beam, it becomes clear that the sexy footage is actually of Spears.
She then heads into a dressing room, where mirrors show all angles of her wearing nothing but her knickers, high heels, stockings and a short fur jacket, as she continues singing, "Why can't they just let me live?/ It's my prerogative." From there she heads into a bedroom, where a dress is laid out on the comforter. She walks toward the bed and away from the camera, letting her jacket fall to the ground. She holds up the new dress as the camera cuts to the party outside, where people are waiting, anxiously, for something, someone.
What they're waiting for, and what they get, will be the surprise of the video, which we won't reveal here. After all, it's our prerogative.
The "My Prerogative" video is slated to shoot later this month. Spears' Greatest Hits: My Prerogative LP is due November 16.

Singer Britney Spears has secretly got married to her fiancé Kevin Federline- but only in her new music video. Wearing a sexy white wedding dress the saucy pop star belts out her latest song "My Prerogative".
The script called for a good-looking male groom but Spears substituted her own beau for the part. According to those on set, the electricity between the two lovebirds was hard not to notice. "She seemed to really be enjoying herself in the wedding dress," said an observer. "But Kevin just looked nervous- it was hilarious."
Federline, 26, spent the day getting ready for the their mock wedding calming his nerves with a leisurely game of golf.

Rumored Exclusive Information About My Prerogative Shoot
Well to the important stuff. Yesterday I was at the Britney shoot all day with someone who for contract sake will be nameless. When we got there, the car was already in the pool. It was a white porch but I am not sure what year it was.
They were already filming in the house, by the way was beautiful. Its the same house that was used for (Halloween: H2O and the pool scene in Clockstoppers)
The concept for the video is a little more than what was written on your site. The wedding is no ordinary wedding. She has a black dress with black and white rose peddles all over the floor and instead of chairs for the guest, they have vintage old velvet couches spread out all over. It looked kind of like a 'November Rain' wedding.
For the pool scene, she sits on the hood of the car in a dark green dress splashing around water, singing and dancing the beginning of the song. She looked amazing and I finally understand the phrase 'something about them when they are on film.' The song itself is great. She didn't change much from what I could tell but the hook has a completely different feel. Like a Indian-Arab like feel. Great for some bell dancing. 'Bringing back those Slave For You days!'
She is sooo sweet. That was my biggest fear seeing her in person. I hoped that even though I get to see this great and beautiful singer in person my bubble of what I thought she was like would pop. But it didn't. She was very nice to all the crew and the extras. When her leg started to hurt she asked if she could have a break and for the position she was in sitting in that water at like 10pm at night for about an hour, she couldn't have been nicer. The video is going to be amazing and trust me, from a true fan, you all will love the finished product. I hope this helps you all out.
P.S. There will be a scene in nothing but knee high stockings and a tight black undergarment. She looked soo HOT!

My Prerogative Video Script
My Prerogative
Director : Jake Nava
An old classic sports car SCREECHES through frame as the beat drops. It (??) and we're winding up into the Hollywood Hills. The lights of LA twinkle in the distance and the headlights whip through the frame. The edgy sports car obeys no street lights or traffic laws, speeding up the dark canyon road with rockless abandon. This is Britney's ride. She looks stunning behind the wheel, driving like a total rockstar. Its all attitude and a burst of adrenaline.
Britney's appearance races up the canyons toward a cool HILLSIDE MANOR. Its the kind of place where 40's an 50's film stars escaped to, or where Marilyn Monroe would up with the Kennedy's. The whole place just has a decadent, (??) air. People are gathered out front. They mill about dressed in sexy party attire when suddenly,
Headlights whip across the people. They scatter as Britney's sports car jumps the curb, crashes through the fence, and splashes into the pool. Its an amazing shot. The sports car sinks into the water, its roof dipping just below the surface. Britney atop the wet metal roof and flows the track, "Everybody's talking/All this stuff about me / Why can't they just let me live"
Britney performs on the sunken car, and its breathtakingly sexy. Her dress is soaking wet. Its sheer and clings to her skin. Beneath her, blue water ripples over the bent metal and light shimmers up on her. Its a beautiful mix of textures of colours. Britney hits us with carnal sexuality, and its the (??) most intense Britney we've ever seen.
Britney's stops off the sunken car and walks into the hillside manor. Her confident stride and cool-as-ice demeanor (??) scream out that she doesn't care what anybody else thinks. She does what she wants. Party girls stare at Britney with suspect and fear. Britney performs as she walks through the upscale mansion. The lighting is moody and low. It edges her face and gives her a sexy glow. (note : this will be a bit of stylistic departure for Britney, showing off her moody sensual world, everything maintains a balance between elegance and decadence) Merging within the shadows, we see young couples making out on couches, vibing to the beat and living the ultimate (??) lifestyle
Britney walks through the sleek modern kitchen in her soaking-wet dress. Its all stainless steel - floor to ceiling. The only thing that punctures the silvery canvas is colorful bursts of food. Its a unique palette ; Pheasants handing from hooks, bowls of Amjou pears, petit -fours on a platter. The eccentric menu adds refined elegance as Britney pours out her raw chorus "Its my my prerogative/ Its the way I wanna live..." Britney suddenly grabs a gleaming BUTCHER KNIFE. She walks across the kitchen brandishing the knife and just as she steps out of the room...she cuts the straps of her wet dress and it falls to the floor.
Britney enters a dark study. Its pitch black and only the faintest electrones(??) of light illuminate the room. Old leather-bound books line the walls and stroke curls though the air. We can just make out Britney's tantalizing shape. Its a total tease, knowing she's out of her dress and wearing who knows what - if anything that Britney doesn't give a ****. She does whatever she wants.
In the background (providing the only light) a black and white film is projected onto a pull down screen. Its sexy footage of a woman like Marilyn Monroe with the steamy vibe of 40's and 50's skin flicks . A man sits in a chair with his back to her, smoking a cigar and watching the film in the dark. His smoke curls up and is (??) in the project beam. It all feels illicit and dirty. Britney performs out at us with the black and white projection behind her. She's raw and defiant and only after a few moments do we realize that the Marilyn Monroe-looking woman in the film is her.
Britney steps through a door and we cut to her in a dressing room. Mirrors show us all angles of Britney wearing nothing but her knickers, high heels, stockings and a rabbit fur short jacket. Its very Agent Provocateur. A single silver chain dangles around her neck and gleams in the light. The mirror reflects fragments of Britney all round, giving in multiple sexy angles of her in one shot. Britney's eyes are on fire, and she's locked in on us, "Why can't they just let me live/ Its my prerogative"
Britney walks through the dressing room into a stylish bedroom. Its very minimalist with (??) decor. Mirrored panels flank an oversized pink bed with an amazing dress laid out on the (??) Britney walks around the bed - away from the camera - and the rabbit fur jacket drops off her shoulders and falls to the ground. Britney is topless (with her back to us) wearing only stockings, heels and panties. Britney holds up the new dress and we cut to
The PARTY outside the hillside manor. People are gathered, anxiously in rows, looking like they're waiting for someone. Beyond them, the lights of LA twinkle and fill the horizon. Suddenly Britney arrives. She's who they've been waiting for. Britney wears the new dress and we realize its a WEDDING DRESS. It bucks conversation in every way; for example, it's black lace or skin tight red - something to knock people on their ass. Imagine in Alexander McQueen or some other cutting edge designer made a wedding dress and this is it. Britney (??) sexy as hell elegance, with a tiny bouquet of flowers and a f*ck-all attitude. Here comes the bride....
Britney flows into the final chorus as she walks down the aisle. Guests check her out and don't think twice about how she's dressed (note : this is an ideal place for great ??) That's just Britney. Its how she is and why they love her. Up ahead, we see her cool-as-ice groom (possibly her real life fiancé or an incredibly gorgeous male model). For all those people who questioned Britney, this is her response. She does what she wants, and she doesn't care what anyone thinks. Britney steps to the groom. She looks into his eyes with an awry smile as the song ends, the beat fades and we :

In other romance news, everyone is wondering when BRITNEY SPEARS will tie the knot with KEVIN FEDERLINE. But don't look for a wedding announcement in the next few days. Unless it's all a big ploy to distract us, Spears appears to be too busy to get hitched. The pop princess is expected to be in Boston to autograph the Britney Spears Foundation Room at Beantown's new Onyx Hotel sometime this weekend.
On September 14, she'll meet with fans at Macy's in New York City to celebrate the launch of her "Curious" fragrance. And, if that's not enough, the video for her remake of Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative" debuts on MTV on the same day. As for her and Federline, Spears' mom, LYNNE, says on her daughter's website that the lovebirds are close to buying a new home.

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Britney's 'Prerogative' Hits The Streets — On A Mixtape
In her remake of Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative," Britney Spears sings about keeping it real. And fittingly enough, Ms. Brit has just found herself in one of the realest places in the music industry: on a mixtape. Spears' new joint has hit the streets.
If you check out the Real Tapemasters Inc.'s The Future of R&B, Spears is all the way down at track 12 with her new single.
"They can never take away your truth. But the question is, can you handle mine?" she sings in a few breaths above a whisper as the record begins. The track doesn't have the hard thump of Brown's New Jack Swing-era, bass-laden original, but Brit doesn't deviate too far from Bobby's original lyrics, just switching up here and there for gender's sake.
"They say I'm crazy, I really don't care, that's my prerogative," she sings. "They say I'm nasty, but I don't give a damn/ Getting boys is how I live/ Some ask me questions, why am I so real?/ But they don't understand me, or really don't know the deal/ About a sista trying hard to make it right."
And if her words hold true, it won't be long before she wins her fight. It also won't be long before we see the video for the song: According to her label, there are plans for the clip to air next week. In the clip, the singer drives into a swimming pool and gets married, among other activities.
Britney, whose collaboration with the Ying Yang Twins, "I Got That (Boom Boom)," hit the mixtape circuit last year, also has her name ringing bells in the underground these days courtesy of Jadakiss' recent street remix of "Why." No, the headline grabber isn't featured on the song, but she does get called out by track guest star Common.
"Why they hype Britney up? They know she can't sing," he raps.
"My Prerogative" is the first single from Britney's Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, due in November.

| Posted by: gaboman | | Can I complain for a minute? I think it's stupid for Britney to release a greatest hits album with a title that takes itself from a song that was a hit for another person... I mean, sure, the song may sound different to Bobby Brown's version, but I really think she should have put more thought into the title... I mean, this title doesn't even define herself or her music up to this point, it basically gives people incentive to go out and buy Bobby Brown's Don't Be Cruel album

So, naturally, our STEVEN COJOCARU was more than a little "Curious" to hear what the 22-year-old songbird has planned next! Tonight on "The Insider," the bride-to-be sits down with Cojo to spill secrets and show him her video for "My Prerogative" in a private one-on-one screening!
"I have a surprise for you!" Britney tells Cojo. "Look at the screen ... no one has seen this!"
After weeks nursing an injured knee, Britney is finally releasing her new single, "My Prerogative," to the radio airwaves today. A sultry remake of the '80s BOBBY BROWN hit, the video for the song officially premieres Thursday on MTV's "TRL." It will be available on her new Jive Records album, which comes out Nov. 9 and features a collection of her dance-friendly hits "... Baby One More Time," "I'm A Slave 4 U" and "Toxic."
Watching the video, Cojo was stunned as Britney makes a daredevil entrance, revving her sportscar up and over a hedge and crash-landing in a backyard swimming pool. ("James Bond, I
have arrived! This is so cool!" Cojo exclaimed.) She's also seen vamping it up at a party and frolicking in her undies on a satiny bed.
Although it has already made plenty of waves, Britney says the video is not all that outrageous: "It's not really pushing the envelope that much. It's kind of like a wild wedding party. It's classic old Hollywood glamour." Her fiancé, back-up dancer Kevin, is also featured prominently.
"It's great to have someone you love in a video. I've never done that before. It was awesome!"

| Posted by: schmiggens | | The only problem I have with this song after listening to it a few times is that she uses that squeeky synthasised voice thing that I hate a fair bit. Otherwise the song is OK. I don't think it's going to be a big big hit like some of her past songs, but that also depends on the video I guess.
I can't wait to see the video. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: gaboman | | I dunno, it was better than I thought... I just wished she'd sing more of the song, rather than breathe it also, I heard the song was going to be DIFFERENT to the original... it's basically the same arrangement, just different music. | | Reply To this Message

BRITNEY SPEARS has reportedly used a two-year-old photograph on the cover of her new greatest hits album - because she's unhappy with the way she looks now.
According to sources, Spears' head was airbrushed over an old body shot for the front of her GREATEST HITS: MY PREROGATIVE CD.
But she's still not happy with the result. She is quoted in British magazine NEW! saying, "I look like a porn star. And why the blonde hair? I am so over being blonde."

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Britney DVD Has Alternate Takes Of Her Videos, Plus More Skin
Think you've seen all of Britney's music videos?
Then you must be who Spears had in mind when she put together her DVD video retrospective, "Greatest Hits: My Prerogative." The set will contain several alternate versions of many of her top clips, including one for "Toxic" in which she wears nothing but diamonds the entire time.
Not only are some of the clips rarely seen and, in some cases, never-before-seen versions, but 10 of the 20 videos that comprise the November 9 collection have been expanded and enhanced. Fans can watch new footage from "Everytime" and "(You Drive Me) Crazy," as well as the never-before-released material shot before the singer's knee injury on the set of "Outrageous", including one scene where she's playing basketball with Snoop Dogg and ends up in his arms, giving him a little lick for luck.
Spears' camp was able to provide so many alternate versions because directors often shoot a full pass at a song in each costume, and then only use a few moments of it in the finished clip. So while some of the alternate takes of "... Baby One More Time" and "Oops! ... I Did It Again" will look familiar, the videos have been re-cut for a whole new feel. One of those alternate clips, for "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know," makes the most use of Britney's body of work, with the spaceman from "Oops! ... I Did It Again," an opening door from "My Prerogative" and a guy from "Toxic" all making cameos. And though "Outrageous" was never finished, it, too, gets an alternate version.
Though the footage was easily accessible, assembling it wasn't so easy. The project took four months to put together, her label rep said, as crews combed through unused footage and edited new versions for some, and used instrumentals and alternate audio in others. There's a new vocal mix for "I'm a Slave 4 U," for instance, and in "(You Drive Me) Crazy," the alternate audio gives the feel of Spears singing the song as a round, where the beat is in sync but one layer of her vocals is just slightly ahead of the other.
Not all of the features are going to be easy to find. The DVD provides two menus — one for original versions, one for alternates. But with some digging, fans will also find hidden features, such as a second alternate version of "My Prerogative," consisting entirely of the film shown in the original version, where Spears is seen rolling around on a bed in her underwear. (The first alternate version includes more footage of Spears' husband, Kevin Federline).
As many versions as Spears offers, however, there's one that fans have to provide — by singing along. An alternate take of "Toxic" lets you hear the music and see Britney, but no vocals come out of her mouth. And since she's wearing nothing but those infamous diamonds, the guide lyrics help provide some necessary cover-up — try watching that and getting the words right.
"Greatest Hits: My Prerogative" DVD track listing, according to Jive Records:
"My Prerogative"
"Outrageous"
"Everytime"
"Toxic"
"Me Against the Music" featuring Madonna
"Boys (The Co-Ed Remix)" featuring Pharrell Williams
"I Love Rock 'n' Roll"
"I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman"
"Overprotected (The Darkchild Remix)"
"Overprotected" (international version)
"Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know"
"I'm a Slave 4 U"
"Stronger"
"Lucky"
"Oops! ... I Did It Again"
"Born to Make You Happy"
"From the Bottom of My Broken Heart"
"(You Drive Me) Crazy (The Stop Remix!)"
"Sometimes"
"... Baby One More Time"

Introduction
Six years since her number one debut single and she’s been married twice, graced the cover of every glossy magazine known to man, woman or child, and occasionally found the time to release a bit more music. Love her or hate her, you’d be hard pressed to find someone in the world who hasn’t heard of Britney Spears.
http://www.dvdanswers.com/images/screenshots/britney5.jpg
Following her recent wedding, Britney has decided to take a “career break”, allowing her record company to seize upon the opportunity to release a Greatest Hits package. Sharing the name “My Prerogative” with her new single, this is more than just a CD release. Yes, it’s on DVD too. God save us all.
The Feature
Taking the form of a timeline, albeit one that goes chronologically backwards, we're invited to peruse Britney's videos year by year. Whether you'd want to is really a question of taste, but it's still interesting viewing to the non-fan to observe Britney flit from one style to another.
There are twenty videos in all, showcasing her first foray into the charts to her very latest. With the possible exception of the schoolgirl skit in Baby...One More Time, it's unlikely that any of these would ever pop up in a top ten of music videos as they're less than groundbreaking. The regular formula is to film Britney in the guise of two different personas, edit them together with lots of lingering close-ups, throw in a dance-routine and then pause occasionally to allow some redundant dialogue. Britney is not unattractive and she's good to watch, but her constant urge to act instead of just, well, sing, is an irritation that makes some of the videos (Lucky, Oops I Did it Again and Everytime) hard to watch, regardless of whether the music is your type of thing.
Which brings us to the music itself. Back in the glory days when she could do no wrong, Brit would warble out a tune about teenage love and wait for the plaudits. Sure; it was bubblegum pop - but she did it well because it was largely undemanding. Nowadays, she's constantly singing about her life, her struggles...yadda, yadda, yadda. Overprotected, I'm Not a Girl..., and My Prerogative all carry this angle and, to be blunt it's getting rather dull. Attempting to break new ground, Britney occasionally strays into hip-hop territory but Boys, Slave 4 U and Outrageous fail to work simply because Miss Spears is trying too hard to change our preconceptions.
http://www.dvdanswers.com/images/screenshots/britney3.jpg
To the casual listener, some of the tracks on here aren't too bad but you'd have to be a pretty big fan to enjoy the laughably bad Me Against The Music with Madonna, the ridiculous I Love Rock and Roll, and the dreadful dirge that is Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know.
Britney’s problem is that, to many people, she’s still that young schoolgirl with a penchant for dancing around corridors. No matter how many music styles she attempts, the indelible image of bubblegum pop never goes away. And this package, combining 4 very different albums only reminds us of that.
Okay, enough negatives. When Britney’s just prepared to have fun, the results are actually pretty good. Baby...One More Time, Oops...I Did it Again and Crazy (all from the first two albums) are distinctly brainless, kid-friendly… and all the better for it. However, if you’ve truly got a hankering for watching those videos then you should just stick on a music channel and wait for them to appear. Leave this release for the big fans, because they're the people who will find this pretty indispensable.
This is, after all, for whom this project was designed; those fans with blind enough devotion to spend cash on products they already have…in slightly different packaging. If you fit into that category, then pop to your local retailer and grab a copy.
http://www.dvdanswers.com/images/screenshots/britney2.jpg
Video
Predictably, the picture quality varies from video to video. While the transfer is generally good, there’s a fair bit or grain visible on some of the older entries (Oops…I Did it Again being the chief culprit). Over-saturation is present on I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman and I Love Rock and Roll and there’s a lack of definition and sharpness on Crazy. I’m assuming that both the soft-focus in Don’t Let me be the Last to Know and the grain in Me Against the Music is deliberate.
Audio
Perhaps the most pleasing thing about this disc is that the music is well presented through a 2.0 mix. While you may need to readjust your surround settings to get the most out of the tunes, a good effect can be accomplished. The exception to this rule is Oops…I Did it Again where the synthesised bass-line sounds a little tame.
http://www.dvdanswers.com/images/screenshots/britney1.jpgp
Extras
Although the menus look pretty good, they’re not the easiest thing to navigate through - especially where extras are concerned. An alternate text menu would have been welcome, as selecting certain items can become overly time-consuming. The extras aren’t particularly exciting and only stretch to 10 of the 20 videos. However, there are the occasional hidden extras that pop up “white rabbit” style, while you watch certain videos.
Fancy watching an alternate cut of Baby…One More Time? No, oh please yourself. But it’s here anyway with a tad more break-dancing and not much else. An alternate mix of Crazy is offered, but this is pretty short and only constitutes Britney harmonising with earlier footage.
If you wish the video of Oops, I Did It Again had featured more footage of Britney in that red PVC catsuit, then, look, your prayers have been answered! The use of alternate angles are similarly utilised for Everytime.
The acapella mix of Slave 4 U, is interesting in that it’s preferable to the original version - even if the video, featuring Britney in front of a green screen, is largely dull. Fortunately, you can switch to the proper video, via the angle selection, if you so wish.
The sauciest extra on the disc is probably the Karaoke mix of Toxic where Britney, clad in a diamond studded, see-through leotard, dances to one of her better hits, as subtitles cover her modesty.
Extra-footage is spliced into the video for My Prerogative - but it only serves to make the song unnecessarily longer. Out-takes are also present for Stronger, Don’t Let Me Be The Last to Know and Outrageous.
http://www.dvdanswers.com/images/screenshots/britney4.jpg
Overall
Britney gets a lot of abuse thrown in her general direction, but the truth is she's the dictionary definition of a superstar; captivating more column inches than the rest of the popworld put together. While her music ranges from ‘okay’ to ‘embarrassing‘, one suspects that the reason she has so many admirers is because she’s 'more than just a singer’. Her numerous fans, who stick loyally by her, will already have this DVD headlining their Christmas wish lists. The rest of the population will just shake their heads in confusion and walk quickly away.

Looks like BRITNEY SPEARS still has selling power. Her new album 'GREATEST HITS: MY PREROGATIVE' stormed into the Japanese album sales chart and went straight to #1.
This is good news for Miss Spears since Japan is the second biggest market in the world.
Her Greatest Hits album is set to enter the top 5 in the USA, a lot of European countries, Australia and especially South America (in which Britney is the biggest selling international singer since 1983 in Brazil).

After extremely disappointing sales of her last album 'In The Zone', which has still failed by some distance to reach even 3 million copies sold in the US, leaving it trailing well behind all her rivals, it looks like her 'Greatest Hits', is going to do even worse. According to HitsDailyDouble, after one-day-sales, 'Greatest Hits: My Prerogative' is limping home at a lowly #4, with sales of just 200,000.
Two other Greatest Hits packages, that of Shania Twain and Tobey Keith, look to be vastly outselling spears' effort, hitting 500,000 and 400,000 respectively. All of these are sure to be beaten to the top by Eminem's 'Encore'.

The album, which is currently No.2 in the album chart, smashed the first week sales of previous high profile collections from Whitney Houston, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and Shania Twain.
Britney's 5th album also takes her UK album sales past the 3.5 million mark, soon to break the 4 million mark."

The CD came with a promo AVCD (which I thought was porn, because in Chinese A-pian (disc) means porn... so I just... well, was hoping), with some megamix film clip and this funky calander, all in this sort of vinyl casing cover thing which is cool... also came in a silver-ish, metalic, shining package which is funky. The one I saw in other stores was boring, and had no porn... I mean... VCD.... so I got this one...
Didn't know there was a DVD too... Hmm... maybe... | | Reply To this Message

The My Perogative DVD has all the Videos to all the songs same as the CD, and as "bonus" features it has what little was made of the Outrageous clip and the Toxic karaoke video with her just in her spangly diamond body-suit and the lyrics covering her nipples as she writhes around.
Remix CD? Hmmmmmmmmmm. Didn't know about that one.
Strawberry Kisses was Nikki Webster's 1st CD, she had another CD then she did some songs for the soundtrack of the Jungle King movie which I think were part of her 3rd CD. She might have had a 4th, maybe the greatest hits is her fourth? Yeah I think it will be her fourth. I wish she'd just crawl away into obscurity already. | | Reply To this Message

Comprising 20 tracks the Greatest Hits includes her massive pop debut Baby One More Time, Oops!... I Did it Again, the Neptunes-produced Slave 4 U and her more recent hit Toxic. Total Global Album sales EST : 66.4 million albums sold
40 million + 66 million = 106 million records sold.
For the record, Christina Aguilera has only sold 35 million records, and compared to Britney, that is nothing. And not to down christina because shes also a very good entertainer but while 'My Prerogative' the single is nearing the 1 million mark ( at around 760k), Carwash is stuck at the 400k mark. Britney is the clear winner in the battle of the pop princesses.

Why do they only release it in one Country?
You'd think it'd be better from the performer and the record company to release it worldwide, then everyone can get a copy, you don't have to rely on people buying in online or whatever to get the copies to the rest of the world.
Silly if you ask me.

When hearing the name Britney Spears, several keywords usually come to mind: Vegas wedding, hair extensions, kissing Madonna, Cheetos. But as the original princess of bubblegum pop becomes a mom and graces the cover of every magazine from Us Weekly to Allure, people are starting to forget what Mrs. Federline was first known for- irritatingly addictive pop ditties. It's probably impossible to find someone who doesn't know all the words to at least one Spears song-most people probably know about five.
While her Greatest Hits: My Prerogative encompasses every radio-friendly gem she's released, her 2001 release, aptly titled Britney, is quite possibly the best example of Britney Spears' pop reign.
Placed in the middle of her career, Britney was the first real glimpse of Spears as a sex symbol. Though she subtly hinted at the idea (think mini-skirts and red leather cat suits), the Spears that released ...Baby One More Time and Oops! I Did It Again still swore to her innocence and her virginity.
Britney broke her out of that shell. Judging by the title of the album's opener, "I'm A Slave 4 U," and the steamy, sexually charged music video that accompanied the song, it was clear to everyone that Spears was a Mouseketeer no longer.
As with all of her discs, Britney was not a one-hit endeavor. Following the success of her writhing on-stage at the MTV awards with a boa constrictor, she then released "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman." Though its serious tone and slightly paradoxical title made some question if Spears had gone off the deep end, she hadn't. At least not yet, anyway.
As if that wasn't enough, Spears also debuted as an actress, albeit in a mediocre way, in the chick flick Crossroads. And even though the movie turned out to be a flop, the two songs accompanying it, "Overprotected" and a cover of "I Love Rock 'n' Roll," were instantaneous hits.
Rounding out the five hits of the album is "Boys." This female sexual anthem got play from being featured in the 2002 Austin Powers flick Goldmember.
Now that she is a mom-to-be, it seems ratty extensions and blousy dresses have replaced platinum blonde locks and crystalline bodysuits. But hey-at least we'll always have Crossroads and Britney to remind us of the good ol' days.
