| KNOWLES POSTPONES JAY-Z WEDDING TO FILM LIFE-STORY
R&B diva Beyonce Knowles has postponed her wedding to rapper Jay-Z to star in an autobiographical movie about her rise to the top.
The singer planned to marry Jay-Z next year but has put the nuptials on hold after signing a $22 million deal to film her life story, which she hopes will help her fulfil her fantasy of winning an Oscar.
A close friend says, "Beyonce is very much in love and does want to make the ultimate commitment to Jay-Z by marrying him. But it will have to wait because she is snowed under with recording and beginning to think about the new movie."
Film executives plan to start filming in October with a child actress who will play Beyonce up to the age of 16, when the star will step in.
The stunning singer -- who is currently in the recording studio with Destiny's Child -- also plans to contribute to the film's script and soundtrack. | |
