This is an award Viva (Viva = an equivalent here in Germany to MTV) gives out every year.

Rumour #1: Now there are rumors going on claiming that Britney and Bobby will perform Britney's Greatist Hits Single "My Prerogative".

Rumour #2: Britney will NOT be at the VMA's AT ALL, that she will not win anything, and that she will not send a recorded message.

They she won't be going to the VMA's because:

She will not want to risk public humiliation at this important moment in her career, if she doesn't win anything - and she never does win any VMAs.

She will not want the whole world to see her walking with a limp.

She will restart her career on her own terms and when she feels ready to. She doesn't need awards shows to get publicity, unlike some people...

She will probably not return to the scene till late September, but then she will return with a bang!

Britney never wins awards for her music. I hope she can win something for In The Zone. It truly is her best album yet. I hope she can perform too, I would love to see her do something a bit different for the VMA's, her past performances at awards have always been a bit special.
