Nicholas Cage Marries Waitress - Third Time Lucky? |
| Posted by: schmiggens | | Nicholas Cage marries former waitress
Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage has married for the third time.
Cage, 40, who won an Academey Award for Leaving Las Vegas, wed 20-year-old Alice Kim in a private ceremony on a ranch in Northern California, publicist Annett Wolf said.
It is the third marriage for Cage, 40, who split with his previous wife Lisa Marie Presley after less than four months in 2002. Before that, he was married for six years to actress Patricia Arquette.
Kim, a former sushi waitress, met Cage when the actor visited the Los Angeles restaurant where she worked. This is her first marriage.
They started dating in February and reportedly became engaged after about two months.
Wolf declined to provide addition details on the nuptials. No photo was released. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | NICOLAS CAGE has put his foot down with new wife Alice Kim after the former waitress revealed her plans to go back to waiting tables.
The 20-year-old Korean-American beauty was spotted by Cage, 40, while he was dining at an LA sushi bar with friends. The couple married last month on Cage's Californian ranch - but Kim is said to be planning a return to waitressing - at the same sushi bar where they had first met. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | I guess it's good that she doesn't just want to live off him and his money and that she still wants to work and support herself. But to go back to waitressing after you've married a Hollywood superstar is a bit odd. You'd think she'd at least look at a change of career. | | Reply To this Message

Nicolas Cage's secret elopement to former waitress Alice Kim has cost him big bucks -- after his furious ex-girlfriend insisted on a holiday to make up for his betrayal.
The star, 40, infuriated Kristina Fulton -- mother of his son Weston -- for telling her about his wedding plans only a day before the big day last month, and he reportedly handed over $50,000 for her holiday in Hawaii as an apology.
But Cage's spokesperson tells the New York Daily News that Fulton knew about the betrothal for months and it was all quite "amicable." | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | What a croc! If they were broken up he doesn't have to tell her nothing about anything he is doing anymore. I mean he should, as a courtesy beccause she's the mother of his child and the marriage will effect the kid, but $50,000.00 for a holliday? Man - that's insane!! | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | NIC'S JUST A CAGEMAN
NEVER let it be said that recently married Hollywood star Nicolas Cage doesn't know how to treat his19-year-old bride Alice Kim. After some time apart, where did Cagey take his missus to celebrate their reunion? A A moonlit stroll? A a candlelit dinner? Nope... it was a VIP trip round a car factory.
Yes, the lucky girl went all the way to South Africa where the 40-year-old actor is filming, and all she got was a day out to look at cars.
Note to self, Nic, must try harder next time.

CAGE'S THIRD MARRIAGE IN TROUBLE
Hollywood star Nicolas Cage's third marriage to former waitress Alice Kim is reportedly in trouble -- just two months after they wed.
The pair have been fighting since Cage banned 20-year-old Kim from attending college, according to Britain's OK! magazine. A source says, "He told her the press would never leave her alone and she wouldn't be able to work.
"She's going to have to get used to doing things his way. Or she'll become the third ex Mrs. Cage." The actor has allegedly agreed to buy Kim her own restaurant if she is still feeling restless in a few months' time.

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Nicolas Cage's new wife Alice looked every inch the Hollywood starlet when she took to the red carpet with her husband on Monday. The 20-year-old, who was working as a waitress until she met the actor, was arm-in-arm with her leading man at the premiere of National Treasure in Los Angeles.
Alice's life hasn't been the same since she met Nic at the sushi bar she was working in last year. She got a taste of the Hollywood lifestyle immediately after their wedding, when he whisked her away to the Big Apple for an extravagant spending spree.
And the Ocar winner continued to lavish gifts on the Korean-American beauty two months later when filming on his latest movie brought him to London. According to newspaper reports, the 40-year-old spent £80,000 on designer clothes and accessories for his new bride during the three-day visit.
Nic and Alice made their vows in a small private ceremony in California last July. It was the actor's third trip down the aisle: he had previously been married to Elvis Presley's daughter Lisa Marie and his Bringing Out The Dead co-star Patricia Arquette. The performer's loved ones seem to think his latest relationship will stand the test of time, though. "They're a good fit," says older brother Marc. "Definitely. I think this will last."

The Oscar-winning actor was accompanied by his new wife Alice to the screening. His son Weston, from a previous relationship with model Kristina Fulton, also came along.

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Hollywood hardman Nicolas Cage showed his more sensitive side when he journeyed to South Korea at the weekend. The Oscar-winner, who jetted into the country to meet the parents and family of his new wife Alice Kim, made quite an impression when he stepped out in traditional Korean dress for a photoshoot in Seoul.
The actor, who was also in town to promote his new movie National Treasure, seemed to be much taken with the country. "Korea is very meaningful for me because I have family here," he said. "That is really the most important aspect of my trip because it's about people I will know for the rest of my life."
And the 40-year-old was likewise eager to praise the eastern nation's culture and cuisine. "Kimchi (a spicy vegetable dish) is good for my spirit and my mind. It keeps me balanced; it keeps me whole," he revealed. "But I am most impressed with the respect for the ancestors, the family, and traditions. I think there is a lot we can learn in the United States from the great and magnificent way you respect one another and your family."
When asked how he was finding married life the actor said he was content to take things day by day, though he also alluded to the possibility of starting a family sometime soon. "Right now, Yong-gyong (Kim's Korean name) and I are just trying to enjoy our time together because our marriage is still so young and so new," he explained. "I would love to have children. It would be nice to have kids running around during Christmas time."

| Posted by: schmiggens | | I think that it awesome that he is prepared to absorb a bit of her culture. You get a lot of relationships of white men with Asian women and most white men don't give a damn about their partner's culture. I think it's great he's taking an interest. | | Reply To this Message

OSCAR-WINNING actor Nicolas Cage says he's reluctant to say he's happy in his new marriage to a 20-year-old former sushi waitress.
"I just want to say that I'm content," Cage told reporters in the Taiwanese capital, Taipei, while promoting his new movie National Treasure. "If I say I'm happy, that's too fragile of a word," Cage said. "I'm afraid someone will take the happiness away."
The Leaving Las Vegas star married Alice Kim this year, and she's his third wife. He was previously married to Lisa Marie Presley, but he split with her in 2002 after less than four months. His marriage to actress Patricia Arquette lasted six years.
The actor, who is twice his wife's age, said he met Kim at a Los Angeles nightclub. On their first meeting, she abruptly left after chatting for just five minutes. Cage said he wrote her a note asking why she walked away and he gave her his phone number.
He said he then invited her to join him in a visit to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. "She said sure, but I'd have to get her home by 11 o'clock," he said. He said he got Kim home by 11 pm. "I was a gentleman about it," he said.

Knew he was in Taiwan though Cause I thought it was weird any star would come out here after the whole Elton John fiasco... but I guess it's just a good way to get world-wide publicity: come to Taiwan and make a scene | | Reply To this Message
