What is the meaning behind the song Measure of a Man, by Clay Akin? Is is talking about him or God or who. WBS.BEcca Murray

No, he's talking about like how a girl would measure a man in their own terms!

the song really can mean how ever you take it....how I take it is that....he is singing kinda about why do we try to measure men, to God when no one is as good as him (GOD...)

I could be wrong, it's just how I take it...

i take it to mean that a man may not have everything but still loves the woman he's with. so it's like asking if all he has to give is love, is that enough. do you measure him by all his material things, or by how much he loves you?

clay has no girlfriend, but his longest relationship with a girl was 6 months, he's 25 yrs. old, he will have a second album coming out too!

My meaning to MOAM is about the same as clayfan101's to me it means how can you judge a man on materials and not look to see what is inside of the person. It tells me not to worry about what is on the outside and worry about the inside because a man can be the world to you even if he don't have a lot of materials

yea, clayfan4ever...that sounds good...I think it is more of about how a guy could have nothing, come from no where, and still somehow win over our hearts (kinda like how clay did)

I think it means that he has no important or fancy posessions, yet still loves his woman

yea and then my line....that I love...."will he always love you the best that he knows"....means that will he always love you no matter what or how he feels....
