the fantasia thread was closed because of the flaming in there. It is fine to have an opinion, but do try to use non-flaming language to get your point across.

Look ppl i'm not trying to be racis what i said had nothing racis nor perverted in it. I simply said i don't like Fantasia in my opinion. When i say someone blows i don't mean anything close to race nor perverted. In my opinion it simply means someone or something sucks in my opinion. Please do not take that ofencively. It means something sucks in my opinion. i'm friggin 11 ppl.

Singer Chick, on many boards if you say that you do not like Fantasia, people cry "hater". Tell them why you do not like her voice, and I am pretty sure that the "hater" speak will stop.

I'm with you singer_chick....everyone always thinks I hate blacks just because I don't like Fantasia....or because I like Diana over her.....I don't like Fantasia's voice bottom line...

This morning on our radio...they played Fantasia singing the national anthem...and I didn't have to wait for them to say it was bad before I thought it.....I never liked Fantasia's voice...and I was upset by the way she kinda hurt our national anthem....

I didn't hear Diana sing the natural anthem, at the Braves Game, on July 4th, but I have heard her sing it before at my school (we live in the same county) and she's really good at it.

Clay sounded great but there is only one Clay Aiken. He has a voice that is unbelievable and I think he is the best thing to have come from Idol.

I don't agree with the "judges"...Fantasia wasn't the best singer this season and although I like Diana...I think Latoya had the best voice this season....I had always hoped it would of come down to Diana vs. Latoya...that would of been a showdown to see....

OK, I see the problem! Of course you're not a racist sweetie! However, a problem occure when one attempts to IMPOSE his/her opinion upon others. In order to prevent such a problem-just humblhy state your opinion- and keep going. In the end - what difference does ones opinion REALLY make in these girls' lives? You nor I get to go home with either one of their pay checks. I still have my Visa bill, and you have yours. Diana nor Fantasia have taken on that responsibility. So what difference does our opinion really make in the WHOLE scheme of things? I will still buy who I want to buy and you will do the same.

Now, here is my opinion - I hear Fantasia totally differently. To me, she sang the words correctly. She just happens to have a Southern twang that disguises her words so one can't quit understand them (and I totally hate the twang cause I'm a Cali girl) but I love her voice and she has all the persoanlity in the world. And as far as her patented "dip.dip.dip."...Is it really appropriate to mention that and not mention Clay's "wink, wink, wink" he does with his big blue eyes all of time? Just thought I might mention that....Or is it a "blink, blink,blink?

I LOVE Clay's voice. I believe that Clay should have won last year. In MY OPINION, based on all around skill and personality Clay should have won last year and the correct person won this year. They both have a tremendous amount of talent, skill, and personality that is displayed in every public apperance. That is my opinion.

P.S. If we have a bunch of fools in Florida that can SELECT a President of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - why can't Simon Cowell select an American Idol? (although I don't believe he did)

I think that Clay should of won 2nd season because he was great and he won like almost everyone over....his voice is just so great....he is so....alright if you couldn't already tell...I am like Clay's biggest fan...sorry..ok so I'll move on from him....but their is only one Clay Aiken....no one in my opinion will ever be as good as Clay

I think over all...both girls had talent....I just like Diana's better. I mean in the end, it doesn't matter because the season went the way it did...and we can't change it now.....no matter what both girls are going to have a career on their hands. I wish both of them luck...

I have to be real here, I don't like Fantasia's voice but "I believe" was so her song.....Diana although she sung it well...was a little out of her game....Dreams (her single) was more her song.....

no matter what though, I am always going to be cheering for the hometown girl.....

yea I'm upset because Clay isn't coming back to Atlanta...and yea...I think Clay is the best thing to happen to American Idol and I wish he won but maybe it worked out for the better that he didn't....

hot4johnstevens, i was reading a few posts back and u said that latoya was probably the best singer in AI3.... i think i agree with you on that. I didn't really liek her voice, and on AI i like more pop type of stuff rather than R&B or soul kind of music, but i think latoya had one heck of a voice and should have at least beat out jasmine... and then she even should have gone on the the finals. I don't like Fanstsia's voice at all. I don't like how she puts her own spin on things because i dont like her squealy voice or her dance.

And, of course I agree 120% about Clay Aiken being far better than anything else ever on American Idol...

yea I am more into like the powerhouse voices like Diana, Latoya, Kelly, Kimberley Locke (kinda)....and I think that Jasmine shouldn't of been in the top 3 and at that point we all knew it was going to come down to Diana vs. Fantasia....but I still would have loved to see Diana vs. Latoya.....


I agree that Clay should of won and I think that he was the best male ever on the show but I think that Kelly really had the best over all voice ever on Idol...

Did anyone see Clay Aiken sing the anthem on July 4th at the PBS "Capitol Fourth" presentation? There is a singer! I haven't heard Diana's version sung at the Atlanta Braves game, but I'd bet everything I have it was head & shoulders better than Fantasia's.

The "judges" selected the wrong American Idol, sorry. And for those who haven't read everything that's been said here, yes, the "judges" did select the Idol. Here we go again, clay aiken this and Clay Aiken that. Fantasia won fair and square, but here you are, Diana this and Diana that. I am sick to death of saints Clay Aiken and Diana whatever. U people will not be happy until u have another white person as YOUR american idol. Only whites are allowed to be on any of the bachelor or bachelorette shows, only one or two non whites per survivor and god help us if one of them should win cause then not another one for sure. We blacks should just be happy that we are allow to watch all u white people win EVERTHING. I am so sick and tired of this crap. So what, the person u wanted to win didn't, GET OVER IT!!! you sure expect all non whites to get over it. THIS IS WHY U PEOPLE ARE ACCUSED OF BE RACISTS. If your white singer doesn't win, its because of the judges, or the phones don't work or whatever. But if a white person wins, its because they were the best. You people make me sick.

why do ya'all always have to turn it black vs. white...I mean does it really always have to come down to that.....
