- Any explicit or borderline threats made towards the President, a potential violation of the law, will be forwarded to the Secret Service for their interpretation.

We are not impeding upon your Freedom of Speech. You are Free to utilize your Free Speech how you like so far as you understand you are Free to suffer the consequences that may arise as well.

We have been forced to take this stance because a select few have chosen to take this direction and lay this burden upon our shoulders. Since we are a law-abiding site, threats of this nature have and will be reported.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Administration

Well regardless of your (the administration) opinion, the 1st amendment gives all of us the right to say what we please, without prohibition.

1st Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Your warning spits in the face of liberty, its very stance a contradiction. On one hand you claim that you wish not to impede on the freedom of speech of others, yet you also threaten those who do speak with “grave consequences” i.e. the secret service what’s next Count Chocula? America was once a land where one could voice their opinion and follow it with “it’s a free country”, but persons such as the ones that administer this forum spread a certain false dogma. They and others like them propose that unless you speak for the status quo you will be excommunicated. I don’t believe this was the intention of the men who started this country, drafted the constitution and created E Pluribus Unum. I don’t believe that those young men in WWII gave up their lives in the name of freedom to fight fascism and end all ternary, just to watch these clowns start a forum that spits on the very thing they fought for. This forum is truly laughable, I’ve read some of the threads and it’s nothing more than uneducated right-wing drivel.

When did it become a crime to despise the president? It’s no secret that he is nothing more than an establishment puppet with not a care in his head for the average Joe. Countless literature is available with evidence to support this claim and yet you advocate his behavior and his administration.

You speak of a “great burden upon your shoulders” of silencing the voice of freedom. Oh well, let me be the 1st to inform you that this never was your burden to begin with, so please shut the **** up.

You speak of ending threats with a threat of your own. Is it just me, or do these clowns sound like walking contradictions?

You make me sick, I came across this forum and I signed up just to post this thread, and now I quit and so should everyone who believes that freedom of speech is a birth right not a gift.

Oh, he's lurking around at least long enough to see what reaction he garners. Trust me. It's human nature.

Oh, no, no, no! Au contraire! It's just that men are from Mars and women are from Venus—and all that jazz. And viv la difference! (Pardon my French very much!)

Funny he should post something he didn't understand. Take for instance the first sentence. And I'll highlight in RED the important part of that sentence.

quote:

Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The constitution deals with your rights dealing with LAW MAKERS and the Government. It does not give you the right to violate the rules set forth by the creators of this website. Also decency laws apply. Laws of protection of the President, and laws of defamation.

Having the right to Freedom of Speech means that you are free to speak your opinion as long as it does not violate others rights. Here we respect your right to express your opinion as long as it doesn't violate the rules or any laws.

Don't forget that to join INReview you have to agree to abide by the rules set by the administrators. You choose to join and abide by the rules, or not to join.

Great point Ron.

Forum laws are definitely draconian, that is why we have close to 90,000 members. Definitely.
