The farming family who housed socialites Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie in the reality TV show "The Simple Life" have changed their telephone number so the two rich girls can't keep in touch.

Janet and Albert Leding welcomed the blonde duo into their home in Arkansas and helped them find work in the first season of the show.

But they've fallen out with Paris and Nicole after Hilton suggested the family were stalking the girls in an interview.

Janet Leding fumes, "She made us sound like we were trying to stalk her. We talked to them a couple of times right after they left.

"Nicole, I talked to her about three times. We weren't trying to call them all the time. We don't care one way or the other."

I would've thought that once you got those two out of your house, you would've said "Good riddance" and never contacted them again. I would.

dude once I got Paris out of my house, I would be like GOOD-BYE but I wouldn't mind Nicole...she just seems funnier and nicer.....

well I know neither are normal but Nicole is more like someone I would like to hang out with then Paris....I just don't like her...

The show is so dumb. To me, it's like they are slumming, spending time with people they think are beneath them. My impression is Paris is nicer, but I've only seen 2 shows - don't want to watch more.

But, you know, only people like them would have the nerve to go up to strangers and just ask for money, as if they are entitled to it. People who really have to EARN their way through life wouldn't be caught dead doing that.

I'll never forget the show when Nicole made some remark, after they had been given $10 for babysitting, about how that would not buy one fingernail. What person who has a sense of value for things spends that much money for fake fingernails?

I'm sick of people like these 2 being considered "stars." THEY DO NOTHING!! but yet get paid indecent amounts of money just because of WHO they are.

I'm glad CBS fired two stars from the show CSI because they didn't show up for work (because they wanted more money).

All of the cast from Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc . who keep thinking they are worth what they are paid are nothing but greedy people (hogs) who will take and take and take. They should all be ashamed. That goes for the likes of Katie Couric, Letterman, Leno and all those people who get outrageous money for what little they do.

I agree that "stars" get paid too much and it really pisses me off too. They are the modern equivalent of Court Jesters all they do is entertain, the money they make would be better spent on paying our teachers, doctors, police, etc. People who actually help us during our lives.

I don't cront Paris and Nicole as "Stars" because their not. They have done nothing but sat on their butts' while their mommy & daddy's money came flowing in. Some stars have done their time and are really good at what they do, so making a lot of money should be alright.....I just don't agree with it when they do nothing to make it....like Paris and Nicole....

Never watched the show, never will watch the show.

But to the people who think stars get too much money, what about the CEO's of all these corporations? Should any of these big companies have workers making minimum wage while the CEO takes in over $10 million a year?

The actors that want to get paid more see the studio execs skimming off the top while they get a pittance of what the actual shows make. Mind you, they're the ones doing the work that make the show successful.

The execs just bankroll the show, at the same time, they shouldn't take the lion's share. It's works the same way with the music industry, the take all of the money from the albums. That's why I'm boycotting the RIAA.

I don't like Paris but I love the show...it's fun to watch

it's a really funny show.....I like how Nicole acts more then Paris
