I know that I'm joking... but, I'm a tiny bit serious:

Dudley Dursley (come on... imagine that Petunia is really a witch, whether she knows it, and is hiding/denying it, or she doesn't know, and therefore, that makes her nasty little piglet a half blood)

Tom Riddle?
The man that Mr. Malfoy sold that stuff to in book 2.

Madame Maxime,
Fleur Delacor.

Lupin? Do we ever know about his parents?
Dumbledore?

Lupin is a half blood.

We do not know about Dumbledore, but I will bet he is a pure blood.

Tom Riddle is a half blood, but JKR said that the prince is not Harry or Voldemort.

Godric Gryffindor is a possibility.

I say that he will be a new (and powerful) character.

I think that there will be new characters. We've been introduced to new people in every book... I don't think that she will stop. Besides, we will get new characters just with people coming to join sides for the second war.

You know, he probably will be new. Could he be Vikor Krum? Perhaps he is the Half Blood Prince, nah must be a new guy.

I'm pretty sure Viktor is pure blood.

I went to google and I searched for half bloods in harry potter and the first site had this:

No, Harry is pure blood, both his parents are magical. A half blood is someone with one magic parent and one non magic parent.

I believe Hagrid at one point said "why there isn't a wizard today who isn't half-blood or less" - could this be an indication that we can just say: almost everyone?

Hagrid said this in the movie, but I think it was Ron who said it in the book.

speaking of halfbloods, i know this doesnt pertain to the prince we're all trying to figure out.. but this just came to mind

i personally think that crookshanks is only part kneazle.. but what do you guys think?

Crookshanks is part kneazle, part cat.

I think JKR only made him part kneazle because if he was 100% magical (kneazle) Hermione wouldn't be able to take him into the muggle world with her. That's why I think he is also part cat. I don't think she's ever said though

yea i think so too, also 100% kneazles need licences, and i dont remember her mentioning that she had one.

Something to think about...Dean Thomas may not be muggle born...he lives with his mother and step father, who are both muggles. We don't know about his real father. JKR always said she wanted to give more background information about Dean but that it ended up being edited out of earlier books. Now Ginny is dating Dean. Hmmmm...a friend of mine that I work with brought this up to me and I thought I would share it with you guys.

The question is what would he do? Would Crookshanks approve of S.P.E.W?

He is putting up with it at te moment, but maybe he is biding his time....

Well I don't think it is Godric Gryffindor. He was one of the origninals. AND I just thought of something about Tom Riddle. Didn't Slytherin only want PURE bloods in his house? Well how could Tom be in there he isn't a Pure Blood. BUT It could be because he is his descendent. Who knows. I like the Crookshanks thing. Crookshanks could also be an Animorphagus too, who just happens to be a 1/2 blood!

I think it only accepted pure bloods when Salazar was there, i think it accepts anyone now...

I think someone said earlier that a pureblood was someone who has magical parents. That's not true, it's someone who has never had a muggle-born or muggle in their family ever. Not just parents.

Hey, do you think if two half-blood people got together and had a kid, could their kid still be counted as half-blood? Cause, you know, it would still be two parts magic and two parts muggle.

I think it will be a new character, or one that we already know but has been a background character. How about a house elf?
