What have YOU learned at Hogwarts.

Obviously, as a reader, we are all, in a way, attending the classes, too. I think JKR really plants a lot of clues in the lessons and homework. She really wants us to be learning right along with the characters. So what have you learned so far? And how do you think that information will be important in the last two books?

i think we should have payed more attention to the fact that the grim means death.. this is the most prominent thing in my mind that stands out. I mean ... sirius looks like a grim and now hes well dead so to speak. We all thought that the prophecy had been wrong or something.. and that it didnt really mean death, it had just been the dog harry had seen. And then two books later " whack" it hits us.

Also goblin wars and giant wars, and a few other things from history come to mind. Wingardium leviosa sticks pretty well too.

I have learnt that however much you scream at the book, Harry will never do what you tell him to.

Wingardium Leviosa and Alohamora are what stick out to me the most.

Goblin and Giant wars stick out because the wizards treat them as unequals. I also think of the Centaurs and their anger at the humans for being considered less capable as humans.

Impervius Curse sticks out to me because you don't know who is being controlled at this point.

Most of what they have learned in Charms has stuck with me. Professor Flitwick must be a really good teacher.

What have I learned at Hogwarts... well, since I'm a professor here, I've learned that children can be VERY sneaky.
