God, so many of you first were saying "Look america could loose this war! Look the Iraqi's don't like America! They really like Sadam!"

Doh, You were wrong. The far majority of the country is happy Sadam is gone and America rolled over the resistance like they were snails.

"You will see America military there for a 100 years!"

They are already withdrawing troops.

Then now. "They are destroying the Iraqi culture!" and "The americans are just putting together a puppet government!"

SLOW THE HELL DOWN!

Are you 12 years old? Do you have any idea how long it takes to get anything done?

It takes about 3 weeks if not 3 months to get a good PHONE SYSTEM installed into a single building with lots of chaos in between. Can you even begin to try to comprehend how hard it is changing a complete government of a whole country???

Just changing the president of a single company results in enourmous chaos at first, much less a whole freeking society.

Relax..... have a beer.... let it play itself out.

I know you like to hear yourself talk, but seriously many of you sound like children watching a suspense movie giggling and squeeling with each upcomming corner.

I know the media does it as well, but try to use a bit better perspective than that. These guys are on deadlines for stories. We are not.

Slow down........

you are feeling very relaxed......

Too true.

Actually though, I read this good article the other day. All those againt the war and their prediction of failure to doomy gloom with massive losses jumped the gun. They were proven so wrong beyond comprehension it isn't funny. They were made to look idiots today for all the rubbish they were spouting before the war.

So as the article said, all these people are a good indicator that what they say will turn out be exactly the opposite during and at the end of an event. Let them say it, they were so wrong about the war that they'll be wrong about the post war period. Makes it all the more fun for us because they look so much idiotic in the end.

Things take time and its just reality as is anything in life. Things will settle and things will work eventually.

You almost had it there, time is what Iraq needed for liberation through cultural evolution rather than engineered force.

Unfortunately thety got the later and time will show what kind of US compliant state develops.

Re your artilcle fred,
The comments and choice of words from the pro-war-ers do offer an indication of the type of person that supports violence. Think about you it.

That's true... but.. it would be far more environmentally sound if the anti-coalition maggots just wrote down their putrid thoughts once on a piece of paper and stuffed it into a box... rather than verbally vomit their stale rhetoric into the air and polluting the atmosphere.

cultural evolution? is that what you think has been happening in iraq since 79? more like cultural stagnation.

i just don't understand how anyone can view's saddam's rule as 'o.k' because he didn't attack the u.s. don't say he didn't attack neighbouring country because he invaded kuwait.

and what if there was a kurtish state? i wonder how they would be treated by him..

not to mention the fact that he wants the israelis to go down, and he wants it bad.

so many things building up. but we should stay out of iraq, because hey, it's not affecting us?

and yes, i agree that too many of you are making so much criticism at this time. the coalition has not yet secured the whole town of tikrit, and there is sporatic fighting. and look at how many other projects are going on:

marines screening and employing new police force
restoring oil lines
restoring water
restoring electricity
giving medical care
search projects for wmd/analysis of findings
military construction and clean up crews
bringing in humanitarian aid

and all this time still fighting in some parts of iraq.

you may dismiss this because you said that america should not have gone into iraq in the first place, but that's besides the point, because the coalition troops have already entered iraq.

as these projects continue and the iraqis take them over, that is when your cultural evolution will begin to occur.

seriously, cultural evolution and the regime should not even be mentioned in a sentence, since it's these exact people who have slowed down the progression of iraqis so that there is continued dependency on the regime.

it's much like the 'problem reaction solution' i talked about in my first several posts. the regime created many problems, and attributed them to other causes [for example, the golden example of u.s and u.k sanctions, which saddam used even when it was he himself who decided to stop the oil for food program].

then, the regime offers a solution, as if they have suddenly figured everything out. they fix a couple of things [which they originally fouled] and are seen as a good, strong government.

it's nothing but b.s over, and over, and over, and over

sounds about right for you wonkeyconcrete, still have no meaning in your arguments, i see your still backing evil regimes like saddam. When you going to open your eyes and see what is really happening.Your boy got his *** kicked and beat down with not much effectiveness on his part on fighting back, his country doesnt want to back him like you seem to think. hes evil and hopefully dead now
