Well I hope it's true. There's a whole forum dedicated to them maybe getting together. It's called Kindred Spirits and it's made me a Dan and Emma believer.It would be so cute if they got together.

I don't think it would..at least not yet. It could create complications with their acting out the Ron/Hermione thing.
