My computer was down, but it's fixed now, but then I got bored. So I just started this thread. My favorite Clay song is called "I Know How The River Feels". It was a song he sang on his demo cd. What are your fav Clay song, post it here!

My favs are 'perfect day', 'shine', 'without you', 'everlasting love', and 'solitare'! but all of his songs are AWESOME!

I think mine favorite song is pretty obvious. My second fave is also "I know how the river feels" Everything else is pretty much close to second....hard to pick...they're all yummy....or is that Clay im thinking of that's yummy...

I know "I know how the river feels", i downloaded it off kazaa. I dont really like it though. i REALLY like "Love of My Life" which i also downloaded. its a really sweet love song. But my favourite clay song is Perfect Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honsetly, I don't "LOVE" most Clay songs. there are only a few that I really really like.

good point.....some songs Clay could do better on....just like I think he should do a whole lot of stuff to really make us go *WOW*

my favorite it Love of my life.. im going to have it played at my wedding, and second is shine..*he didnt sing it at his concert* *tear* and after that i like them all... the one that im not so fond of is no more sad song...

I was sad when he didn't sing,"Shine" at his show, I was looking forward to that....I wish him and Kelly would record "open arms" together because they sounded so good on it together....

I really really like Shine a lot, and I actually like No More Sad Songs a lot too. It seems like an "angry" kind of song, and I like that kind of edge. I don't really like "When You Say You Love Me" a whole lot, but I'll listen to it.

My other favorite song is Measure Of A Man, i love that song.

More of my fav are: On The Wings Of Love, Without You(duet with K-Lo), TITN, WYSYLM, The Way, and In Not Of, ha i love everthing Clay sings.

I like On The Wings Of Love...I heard somewhere too that Kelly and him were going to record OPEN ARMS on her next cd..I think it was on TRL or something...or someone said they heard it on there...well I hope it is true....

Clay said on TRL, that he thinks Kelly already got enough of him already, but he was just joking i guess. i dont know if he going to record it with kelly, corey clark already recorded it on the ai2 cd, so im not sure.

My favorite song is The Way.

also if anybody has ever heard him sing Build me up Buttercup, or I'm not supposed to love you anymore. wow, he sounds really hot in those

yeah....im not supposed to love you is almost a song out of clay's character because you wouldn't think that someone like him would be singing or saying stuff like that....

I liked the version of Unchained Melody that he did.

I also really liked that version of Unchained Melody too. Clay's mom wanted him to release that on a single and make it a big hit, but LeAnn Rimes came out with one before he did. It would have been coool if he did though.

Yep, he should still do it. There are so many versions of that song out there, people would still buy it.

Clay did a single for Solitaire so he should do a Unchained Melody single. So many ppl will buy it, my best friend loves that song.

I think clay should release unchained melody on his next cd. or make a single of it. he sings it so well

It's a very hard song to sing. Very difficult.

A lot of performers who do it, change the tempo all around so they can sing it. I think thats the right word, tempo.

They slow it up and speed it up so they can hit the notes.

I liked the version of it Clay did while on American Idol. It had a good flow to it.

Clay sang a version of Unchained Melody on his demo cd, trust me it's slow, but it still sounded good.

oh ya.... i forgot there are 2 clay versions out there. one is off that demo cd, and its not AS good... but he hit great notes on American Idol in Unchained Melody

Yep, the demo is good but not as good as the one on american idol.

Well it helps that I have always loved that song, but most performers butcher it.

It's hard to get it as good as the Righteous Brothers version. But Clay did a fine job of it on A.M.

I have not heard the demo version.

I am listening to it now, I like it just fine. His voice is deeper in this version than it was on the show.

yeah me too! Have you ever noticed how when you go to see clay live that he sounds so much different in person than he does on TV? I love to hear him sing he puts me in the best mood!

But in hindsight, Clay has done way better. I think he has a better voice.

I'v listened to that version twice now, it is pretty sharp. He should release it or one like it.

that's a lot of posts, it would take me 8,000 yrs to get to 10,000 posts. Yeah, people sound really different when they're live than what you see on tv. Simon Cowell said he thought Clay was the winner when he was live on american idol, and he thought Ruben was the winner when he saw it back on tv.

yeah, in the recording studio, they can take all the time they need to get it perfect.

They can take the chance and try to hit the high and low notes. If it don't work out, they can redo it.

Live, they have to tone it down a little.

Yeah we forgive after like 2 minutes actually we usually never get really mad in the 1st place.

yea, forgive me...I guess since she came out about that...i'll come out about this....I only voted for Clay like once or twice a night...even on the final....and the first 3 weeks of him in the top 12...I didn't vote...I think the first time I voted for him was when he sung, OPEN ARMS...sorry I just wasn't into voting that much last year, although Clay is the best thing ever on AI....sorry

You know how they said that NC had a lot of voting problems last year? yea from his CD, Shine but he was so good today during I survived you.....he looked good and I love that whole "care for anyone, anyone but yourself" all the way to the chorus...I love them lines and they are the ones that I have saved on my cell phone from his show....
