there is evidence that not only did the russians give the iraqis a list of contacts if they ever needed assassination work, give constant military updates to iraq concerning the u.s [as well as some middle eastern countries] but also exposed secret phone conversations involving p.m blair and other political heads
of course, do not take this for face value yet. but it seems very logical. 'you scratch my back, i scratch yours.' russia and iraq's relationship is based primarily on military purchases, and that's it.
if this turns out to be true, yet another element of the anti-war argument will be put to rest, and my initial suspicions very much proved. russia is just interested in losing an economic support [one of it's strongest]. | |
