| Posted by: Lakota | | Remember the scene (when Snape is subbing for Lupin), Hermoine tells the class about werewolves, and she says:
"...furthermore, a werewolf can only respond to the call of another".
Later on in the movie, she imitates a wolf howl in order to distract Lupin. Lupin responds to it!!!
Did the screenplay writer check this out, is this line true to the book?
Because it's implying that Hermoine is a werewolf... at least that's what I got out of it
[[I hope i put this on the correct board]] | | Reply To this Message

And what you said has totally freaked me out when you say it like that you got me wondering... | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Mike James | | Indeed, yours would be the logical conclusion. I haven't read the book yet, so I can't tell you for sure if the line is legit, but it has me wondering also.... | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: daemon17 | | just ta let you know, the lines arent true to the book, but i can totally see where somone would think that. Stupid directors... Excellant conclusion though, you really put things together lakota. Read the books and join us in the HP sector you'll be a big help. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Heatherhobbit | | Daemon is right, this isn't true to the book. Besides, Hermione has been Harry and Ron's best friend for 3 years. I think they would have caught on if she were a werewolf by now. She howled like a werewolf to catch Lupin's attention so that Sirius and Harry were safe. She sounded like one, but that doesn't mean she was one. Notice she didn't change when she was in the moonlight. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | I am sure Hermione read how to sound like a werewolf in one of her books. Hogwarts A History perhaps? | | Reply To this Message
