| Yeah its like a lot of People listen to rap to get them pumped. From 50 cent to three six mafia. Yeah rap has a tendancy toward violence. But it is foolish to think that in any way rap will cause violence. Take a softy dress him gansta, at heart he still soft.
My first Point is that Rap came from the ghetto and rose as a part of black culture. Its so powerful for black youth that it has now made a culture called hip hop. Hip Hop is the influence of the day. Why is rap so violent. Be cause in the ghetto the streets were violent, before rap music. Rap didn't just become gangsta, a true artist comes from the heart thus the violence and guns and drugs. Now maybe when we dont have any of that in the hood, rappers will stop rapping about it.
My second point on why some people Just cant understand only imitate. I think Chapelle show showed it best. Where the black father and white father switched families. Little white boy was like I'm from the streets <REMOVED>G G G G G G G-Unit. The black father was like gggggg get in the car! Let his <REMOVED> of on the streets where the soul of this music comes from. He was like Say wassup to all your peoples around here and oh yeah sell rocks for money, I hear thats what they do around here and pulled off. Lets face it theres a lot of hoods all across the globe. A lot of non "urban" people can't grasp all the concepts of what it means to live your life in the environment of a rap song. I hope they understand that drugs were pumped into a lot of the ghettos by police. Can't prove it, but then again we can't somehow prove OJ did it. We just know, let alone the fact a black person didn't invent all those drugs let alone had rescources to ship the tons and tons into america unnoticed. Maybe it is each persons fault that they hustle and tote guns, or you could route for the most likely case, product of environment. After most rappers leave that environment they dont live like that anymore the object that most raps states is to make it out of the hood!
Most people who dis rap have no idea of what rap is. Others still listen to rap but still have no idea what it is. The rest of us differ on points but I can respect someone who knows what they are talking about and I'm not just saying what each rappers been through thats for non lyric listening club girls who go for the beats and only remember catchy phrases that they can say over and over again and wanna be in love with a rapper that could care less until they meet them (if they get that chance) after that the rapper forgets them and cares even less. Yet Brainwashed women across america gladly give their money to rappers (*cough*ja rule*cough*nelly*) who might as well be gay male dancers for the lyrics they spit as they are pimped to young and dumb girls across the globe.
