What groups did you just go wild over in the 80's? It was a time of Big Hair bands, rap groups (doing beat box) and alternative music (New Wave)....

I loved Billy Idol, Oingo Boingo, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Smiths, and a ton of pop stuff.

Def Leppard has ALWAYS been my #1 band since 1981....

I loved both rock and new wave in the 80's, but tend to really like the new wave more now than the rock.

Some bands that I was pretty crazy about back then:

Duran Duran, Oingo Boingo, Echo & the Bunnymen, Boy George
Motley Crew, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Queensrych, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest

I did not like tears for fears, though I remember the album, Songs from the big chair.

I loved Huey Lewis. She's heart and soul. What a tune.

Born in the USA album by Bruce Sprinstien, that was a good album.

Flock of Seagulls, I ran, they was a good band.

World party, ship of fools, that was a good tune.

Have you seen him on Vh1's Bands reunited? He is old and fat and wears a base ball cap.

He can still sing though.

It's good to see all these bands from the 80's, and that they turned out like normal people.

The only two I can think of who stayed weird are Micheal Jackson and Boy George. Dey still lookin freaky!

Boy George is still alive . I saw him on tv the other day with some really weird makeup thing happening that looked like a pelican crapped on his head

I agree... I remember seeing a special on Boy George, on VH1 (I think) and he was dressed in his "I Just got crapped on by a bird" look. It's horrible.

I think The Boy actually got weirder with age.

I agree Dave. He is just scary now. He is off drugs and dresses like that?

Someone told me that it's not makeup, that it's tattoo's.

I looks like makeup to me. I hope it's makeup. I hope someone would not mutilate themselves like that forever!

Poor Boy!

I think it is make-up. I thought I saw him with blue on the bird poop stuff instead of black.

holy power ballads batman!

let's see...

U2 has to be my favorite 80's band. one reason is because they lasted past the 80s. it's hard to really love a one-hit wonder band. i mean i still get chills everytime i hear where the streets have no name and with or without you.

and the boss! bruce springsteen.

"booooooooorn in the USAAAAAAAAA..."
