The pivotal fourth novel in the seven-part tale of Harry Potter's training as a wizard and his coming of age. Harry wants to get away from the pernicious Dursleys and go to the International Quidditch Cup with Hermione, Ron, and the Weasleys. He wants to dream about Cho Chang (Katie Leung), his crush (and maybe do more than dream). He wants to find out about the mysterious event that's supposed to take place at Hogwarts this year, an event involving two other rival schools of magic, and a competition that hasn't happened for a hundred years. He wants to be a normal, fourteen-year-old wizard. Unfortunately for Harry Potter, he's not normal, even by wizarding standards. And in his case, different can be deadly.

In the latest Potter casting news, Newsround can exclusively reveal the part of Fleur Delacour will be played by French actress Clemence Poesy.
Clemence, 21, is currently in England rehearsing, with filming due to start in July, according to her agent.

She has appeared several times on stage and on TV. And she has also starred in two French feature films.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will only be the second time she's acted in English instead of French.

Learning lines

The first was early in 2004 when she played Mary, Queen of Scots in the BBC drama Gunpowder, Treason and Plot.

During filming for the programme she said: "When I was learning lines, I had to be more careful about learning them in English. I had to make sure the pronunciation was correct as well as understanding the meaning."

Triwizard Tournament

Clemence, who was born in Paris, first got her interest in acting from her father, a theatre director and actor. And, after finishing school when she was 16, went on to get an agent and study acting.

For several months there have been rumours that Oscar-nominated actress Kate Winslet, who starred in Titanic, was to play the role. But many Potter fans will be pleased to learn that a French actress has been given the part.

Fleur Delacour is a pupil at French wizarding school Beauxbatons, and is one of the four champions competing in the Triwizard Tournament.

Bulgarian Stanislav Yanevski cast as Viktor Krum
[with info from Sofia News Agency in Bulgaria]

After announcing last week that it was suspected that a boy from Scotland would get the role, it turns out that a Bulgarian boy will be Krum after all.

After months of silence and controversy concerning the nationality of the future Potter star, Warner Bros. has reportedly decided that Stanislav Yanevski, a Bulgarian boy living and studying in London, will play Viktor Krum in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The decision was relayed to producer Victor Bozhinov, who was in charge of carrying out the Bulgarian casting for Krum at the end of February.

Warner Bros. in London has made no official announcement yet about this casting, and stated recently that the casting of the new younger actors would remain private until after they are finished with the school year and their exams.

Casting producer Victor Bozhinov commented that the idea of selecting a Bulgarian to play Viktor Krum was inspired by the Bulgarian background of the quidditich player in J.K. Rowling's book.

What about Robert Pattinson as Cedric? Has anyone found any decent pictures of him yet, the only one I've seen is on the newsround site.

Does anyone else think that thay got it SO wrong in casting Gary Oldman as Sirius? Is it just me or isnt sirius supposed to be sexy? Gary Oldman looked so weedy!
And does anyone esle think that Victor Garber should have been Lupin?

I thought Lupin and Sirius were cast well.

Siruis was supposed to look very tired and rough after all those years in Azkaban. He does look like a man who used to be handsome. The Sirius in my mind is very sexy.

This is a pic of Katie Leung, who will play Cho Chang.

There's a website already dedicated to her, but I can't find the link now.

Besides it's a little weird...

What do you mean a little weird?

I thought Cho would be prettier.

Probably internet pervs that like her. There is a site that counts down the days till Hermione is of age. Just sick.

I LOVE Victor Garber, but I think he might be a little too old for the part. I always picture Lupin as being semi-young.

No worries, mates! Tom Felton wrote on his blog that he would be in the next movie, thus he would be starting college later in Sep 2005.

Actually, he is quite likeable - John Casali did sound for the Jurrasic Park Series, Mission Impossible, and boom work for more movies than most people on this board have ever seen.

So yeah... like him. John Casali.

And whats more, John Williams returns, as expected, to continue the franchise...

Daniel Barrow is the best in the SFX biz, and Bradley Farmer has to be the craziest guy on earth.

To be honest, the actors and actresses work really, really, really hard - but they aren't working NEARLY as hard as most of the people on the production staff (who get paid next to nil and go unappreciated by most of the public).

So I thought it would be appropriate to post a list of the REAL stars (oh man, I'm such a tech)

PS - I have nothing against the actors - they are all wonderful, and the movies wouldn't be the same without them... really. Literally.

YEY! more casting news! Mugglenet reported today from a warner bros press release that:
Roger Pack-Lloyd (Trigger from only fools and horses UK) will play Barty Crouch snr.
Pedric Bjelic - Karkaroff
Jeff Rawle - Amos Diggory
David Tennent - crouch jr.

They also confirmed Robert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory, Clemence Poesy as Fleur, Brendon Gleeson as Mad eye-moody and Frances de la Tour as Madame Maxime!
Oh, and Stanislav Ianevski as Krum and Katie Leung as Cho Chang.

Oh no, the guy playing crouch snr isn't anything at all how crouch is supposed to be, his looks and his voice are completely wrong, he was good in all the british sitcoms that he's been in but he's always played the loveable 'dumb guy' which is what his looks are suited for. I always imagined Crouch to be a lot sterner-looking and more like Gary Waldhorn who plays David Horton in the vicar of Dibley (with Roger Lloyd Pack).

Has anyone seen Notting Hill - because I really think the gug who plays Bernie in that should play Ludo Bagman, or John Ram. I don't know what the notting hill guy's name is, but I'll go and look it up now!
