Have the events of the last few days changed anyone's minds/opinions one way or the other? Most people have fears/anxiety, some have elaborate conspiracy theories, etc., but have the actual events you have seen altered your position in any way?

I myself have been all for this war. When I first heard of the conflict with Iraq I started researching the country. I was disgusted with what I read and my heart hurt for the poor people who had no choice but to live like that. I am by no means saying I agree with the killing of innocent people but Saddam had a choice to leave or stay and he knew the consequences and ofcourse he protects his own *** and let the rest of the population deal with it alone. I am so excited for the Iraqi's! My opinion has not changed at all since the beginning but yes watching yesterdays news almost made me cry. It was great to see so many of them celebrating and smiling so big. Ahh. I hope it's over soon and we can get the hell out of there and let them enjoy thier new life and I pray that the new government is good to them. God Bless the World!

Definately. I think much less of Saddam as a military commander, with his total failure to mount an efffective resistance, dispite considerable resources. I call into question the general attitude of the US defence forces, as they have a considerably high number of accidents involving friendly fire, or fire on civilians. More so than I think could be put down to pressure in the field. I have also been pleasently surprised at just how vocal the support of the US troops has been from the Iraqi population. I expected support, but a bit more subdued until a later stage of the campaign.
