What criminal are you talking about, Dave Mordall? He robbed a bank gas station when he was a kid. We all make mistakes.

HE ROBBED A BANK AND GAS STATION. Does that ring any bells inside your head?? Yes we alll make mistakes but not all have criminal records.
We dont want to see criminals run or represent this country.

And this is why Criminals CANT vote in here also.

Yes, something is ringing after that last post.

Check it- I'm not trying to make excuses for the guy, but he was in high school when he committed his crimes. He did his time. It was, what, 25 years ago? The man paid his debt to society. He garnered his 15 minutes of fame on, for all intensive purposes, a comedian talent show. He’s a comedian. He wasn’t running for president (that’s only for pot smokers, coke heads, and adulterers.)

It's good to see that your moral slate is completely clean and you can cast dispersions without knowing the whole situation. Nice job.

Snap judgments will take you far in life.

He shouldnt be on TV, he should be some where washing banker cars. Or in gas station filling up gas for people.

I see that we disagree.

If he played a show near me, I would pay to see it. Is he funny enough for his own television show, I don't know. I would watch a sitcom pilot he starred in, see how it is. But I wouldn't avoid something he's involved with because of his record.

On another note, who do you like so far in season 2?

I just watched two hours of Last Comic Standing this week and have this to say:

None of the team has a real breakout ComiscTalent.

There are a few inded whom i feel sorry for, like the London guy with hair like an unwashed street person who constantly says to the audience. LIke me please like me. Like you no , sorry no like your writing or delivery.

now Ant got busted this week going up against Gary Olman Or Goldman, anyway Ants schtick about being a flight attetnendent in an emergency was laugh out loud funny,
Goldman or Olmans about Oreos cookies was not, yet the audience gave GAry the win, i think because Ant was over the top with his gayness, Don't know. JMO

In the Friars roast where the Judges were Phyliss Diller, Norm Crosby and Rich Little all liked Olonzo and so did I. they said his material was betterr and had good clean lines. so does he get immunity NO. He gets thrown back into the pot again and immunity goes to one of the two girls. for no good reason.

The ending was Gary against this unfunny Italion girl Kath Pesscorelli(sp) Gary won easlily.

So now its on to next week.
O/T does anyone watch Next Action Star?

Delta, Ooooo you are such a butcher of their names.

Anyway, Jay London got the immunity for the Roast. Kathleen Madigan got the immunity for performing to the kids. Boy that was cruel. Kids are the hardest to do comedy for.

I thought Ant's flight attendant routine was too long and putting in a political dig may have did him in. It's very dangerous unless you are already famous and know your audience.

I like Tammy Pescatelli and I think she is the brains that Ant was talking about.

We really liked the old hippy guy that they brought back and didn't want to see him go. Also I think Todd Glass is a hoot.

Jay seems like a very likable guy, I think they all hated to see him go.

I think in the end it will be John Hefron against Tammy Pescatelli.

Hey Ron, aT LEAST i GOT THE ROUTINES RIGHT HUH?

Next time I will take notes,.HEE HEE You knew who I was talking about. I was reading Hanibal at the same time, so be happy I didin't call one of them Dr Lector. LOL

Listen I believe Todd got the door as Gary kept saying he wanted to beat Antt because of the back stabbing of Antt.

Tammy was beat by Gary this week? Or who got the boot?

I think Heferon will win, heis clever and I like his manner, however they all better watch out for Alonzo, He is his own man and writes good material.

Did you see it this past week, the second hour?

You mean where they had to do their routine in front of kids. The kids were brutal. John didn't know what to do so he just told them whenever they didn't like someone to just yell skunk, skunk, skunk. And althought they did, it probably help him in getting votes but not enough. Kathleen ended up getting more. She connected with 'em. It was cruel for the producers to come up with this one.

All they told the comics was that they were going to face their toughest crowd ever. Drove them to the bad side of town where businesses had barbed wire. They thought who could this be, prisoners, gang members. They then took them into the theater and out come these kids. The give the comice a box of costumes to dresss up. All Kathleen did was put on a hat and came out as a leprechan. I don't really remember her schicht but none of them really connected with the kids except her. She got the immunity and the voting was tied between Gary and Jay. So they went up to the head to head. I thought Jay was better but Gary won.

For them to throw the Comics into a children audience with Clowns yet was just not fair, For awhile I thought "Skunk" Skunk" w ould turn their little heads, but the Luck of the Irish took them on their own level. Very good thinking, but not funny, No one was funny,

How can you be funny for a bunch of children unless you are Jim Carey or Pee WEE, Kids only know Knock Knock jokes. Unfair IMO

and Todd Glass is out Ron.

Exactly, what makes a kid laugh. Kid jokes! Unless you are a big kid (Todd Glass), you are not going to have kid jokes. I also think Ant would have done well because he is smart and quick. I mean look at what he did on the bus. I used to know a bunch of kid jokes, but I couldn't think of any of them in the few minutes they had to prepare. I can't even think about them after having days to think about it.

Iused to teach the darling children, and well know how they can turn on you in an instant Ron. I heard enough Knock Knock jokes to last me a lifetime and can't remember one. Why.? because they are for kids, not adults.

I could make them laugh at something I was trying to teach (ART) but they really knew me and loved to pick on my drawings. A little bit of sarcastisc humor would make them roll.

I taught from pre school art with handicapped deaf kids where I had to be a monkey to get attention,to grown ups where I had to be a Monkey also to get their attention.

I will never forget one little ones letter to me when my husband was going thru a difficulte illness. One kid wrote"[ U] Dear Ms P i hope your HASBAND WILL GEt WELL soon, I rolled on the floor Ron. Hasband was a good name for him!
LOL!!!! He recoovered and cotinued to make my life miserable until Charlie came along.

Have you seen Last Action Star? I missed it past week and would like to know which couple's won and who got booted.
Personally, they all stink. Now now Delta not nice!!!

Yeah I watched it but for the life of me don't remember who got the boot. Oh wait, nobody got the boot becuase the judges couldn't agree. I think they were all bad. So they all got a free pass.

This show is really getting on my nerves Ron, a twist, a twist and no twist makes the guys funnier.

Can you actually say you really laughed at any of the three performers?

Mildly amused maybe. but no Riiichard Pryor or Robin Williams,

Then I had to sit thru the miseraable clown stuff, Hate clowns and hated the comics trying to be funny.

Then they are all back together, all of them even Ant!!!

I did not enjoy this show and can only hope that next week is better.

I think they got rid of some really good talent in the beginning stages. And I am about done with these comics routines. Ok so they perform for a different audience everytime. But hey, this is TV, do they not have enough material for more than one show? It's like they have one routine that they think brings down the house and no other, so they perform that routine to try and win. I think next year they should have a rule that says they can only repeat one joke. Boy that would make it much harder wouldn't it. The producers could just say "Hey you will be going up against the same audience, if it's not different enough then you will not win", that would shake it up.

I agree Ron. This show has the potential of being good. but repeating a prior episode and repeated jokes just won't cut it.

Same for last Action Star. Only saw the credits. but had already lost interest.

Nonw of the "would be stars" can act and none of the "would be comics" are funny.

Do you think the producers really sit down and plan these messes? Or are they counting on the popularity of Reality shows to get their products in the ratings?

Don't know.

Heffron pulled out some new stuff last week, at least.

I don't know if it's sloppy editing or a weak act, maybe a combintation of the two.

Maybe Heffron has a lot of material. Personally, I think that's the sign of a good comic.

On Sunday in New Orleans we have a TV guide that allows persons to write iin and have the staff answer any questions.

This Sunday, I read this: Question; is there an inside joke on Last Comic?

WhATS GOING ON WITH LCS? I loved the first season and was interested until the very end, but this new batch of comics is pretty much a waste of time. Why did they add Kathleen Madigan to the Comics? She has been around for awhile. She is not an amateur...I think she should win but don't think she will. Is the Competetion FIXED by NBC just for tV ratings?

Answer: LCS lets both professional and amateur comedians to compete. But there was a brouhaha during February semi finals in Las Vegas that brought out some questionable iner workings. Celebrity judges Drew Carey and Brett Butler got bent ou[ of shpe when their choices failed to make the cut. NBC released a statement saying that the judges opinions are taken into acount but the final decesion is made by the shows Producers.
Hollywood Reporter has pointed out apparent conflicts of interest in the shows casting process. Barry Katz a "Last Comic Standing" executive producer, also manages the recently ejected Ant. And the comic who sent him home Gary Gulman.

Whats more, Katz is also Host Jay Nohr's manager.

VIEWER BEWARE!!!!

Heck nice to talk with you civilily.

It would be nice if the spell checker worked!!!

There seems to be a bunch of shady business going on.

I totally liked last season better. Dave Mordal and Rich Vos ruled. I don't think there's anyone that can touch them on this season. I liked Todd Glass, but he was tossed early.
